Don't listen to the moans about the grumpy staff or the food and water rules. This hotel is very clean, freindly the rooms are 5star. We have stayed there twice and will go back again. The guy at the bar is shy, when we returned this year he welcomed us with a big smile and open arms. Most hotels have... More

Stayed here September 2011 and loved the location. Far enough away from the centre without being noisy but really close to stroll in for bars and restaurants and 500m from the beaches and Blue Lagoon. Very modern rooms and lovely pool. Restaurant has very limited choice, but you can eat out very reasonably in the town with plenty of choice... More

Stayed here for 2 weeks in June 2011. Staff were very friendly once you got talking to them. Billy at reception was brilliant. Other reviews have talked about the older guy at the bar not being so friendly, which I can understand but once you get talking, he is fine. The hotel was very clean and at first the rooms... More

We stayed at this hotel in July 2011 for a week having read some really good reviews. The hotel was great, immaculately clean both in our room and in all communal areas. It was on a quiet street but only a couple of minutes walk to all the shops and restaurants and about five minutes from the beach. The pool... More

I stayed here with my husband and children aged 19 and 17 (hardly children really!). Beautifully clean but the hotel totally lacked in atmosphere. The staff always looked miserable. As the bar was always empty we never stayed there for a drink. The breakfasts were very disappointing. They couldn't slice the cheese thinner if they tried! After day one my... More

I stayed at the Mavruka from 26/09/11 until 10/10/11, and this is the 4th time in 3 years. This time my elderly mother travelled with me. This hotel is the perfect place if you are looking for a peaceful holiday with not too many children. Its spotlessly clean, the rooms are large and airy with lovely bathroom and brilliant power shower!!! The... More

We have been going to this hotel twice a year for 4 years, and will not be returning next year. This is due to Rami the hotel manager making our 2 weeks horrible. He was spiteful if we asked for any information and was extremely rude to any visitors, and at one point told a fellow guest to not speak... More

It is with deep regret that after staying at this hotel every year for the last 4 years we will not be returning there. This is due to the one particular member of staff who is obnoxius, arrogant and has no people skills. As the saying goes "familiarity breeds contempt". The more the owner of the hotel lets him get...
