This place caters for Tango lovers with free lesson every night in the studio at the back of the courtyard. The rooms are located on a the first floor of a charming old building on the edge of Palermo. We had a large room with polished floor board and a large window over the street. The toilets allocated to the... More

I am just back from Buenos Aires last week. I spend 2 weeks stay in the Caseron which was a very pleasant experience. People stayed there are usually Tango lovers and you can get a lot of information by communicate with the people stay there. And the class every night is good with different teachers. one class is around 5-6... More

This was a great place, very friendly atmosphere, staff wonderful, lots of green around which was a delight and the Tango lessons superb, I'm an old hand at tango and I am now going to revise my tango style. Had a wonderful time there. More

We just got back from a week at Caseron Porteno, which we chose based on the reviews in tripadvisor. Thanks, tripadvisor and thanks to all those who wrote about the place. It was all you said and more. As others pointed out, the staff is warm and friendly, and the setup is welcoming for those who want a home rather... More

The staff are very friendly and helpful and i had three separate stops here during a month touring Argentina, and I was welcomed like a friend on each return. I had a standard room with ceiling fan, so no air con, but I had no problems with mid-summer temperatures. I had a private bathroom just across the corridor with gown... More

We really enjoyed our stay at Caserón Porteño! Though quite simple, the extremely friendly staff and cozy facilities make you feel confortable and at home. You have to walk a couple of blocks to ge to Palermo main areas or to the subway station, but the location is still quite good. More

Our stay was peaceful, we slept so well in a comfortable, spacious room that had a large bathroom and T.V. The air conditoning worked well and quietly and furnishing was more than adequate. The owners welcomed us and made sure they provided support at all times, information how to get around etc and both spoke very good English. Staff were... More

Allthough this place is definately not 5 star, it is affordable and good for a stop-over near Jorge Newbury Airport with some very good restaurants nearby. More

Initially we were a little worried as this location is not exactly in the Buenos Aires hot spot but very soon we were incredibly happy with our decision. The hotel is located in a very safe neighbourhood in Buenos Aires and is a cheap taxi ride to all the best restaurants in Palermo which to be honest is the best... More

Caseron Porteno is an old house in the not-terribly-glamorous suburb of Colegiales. Once you understand that, you will probably not be troubled by unrealistic expectations. Standard rooms are VERY basic - the suites on the courtyard are much better, but even they have very little sound insulation, and you will hear everything your neighbours say and do. It's just as...
