One of the most popular hostels in Mendoza (and probably one of your best options), Hostal Alamo has all the basics associated with hostel living, including a nice kitchen, the availability of tour advice and a decent-enough breakfast. My grouses? I arrived very early from Santiago and had plans to visit the wineries that day. Since no cafes or the... More

I really enjoyed my stay with hostel alamo. The location was good, within walking distance of major center and a grocery store right across the street. The rooms were clean and spacious with a beautiful little courtyard. Loved the staff, everyone was so nice and helpful and informative. Two thumbs way up.

More like a small budget hotel than a hostel. Great outdoor area to chill. Decent breakfast in a sunny dining room. Located one block from plaza chile and a ten minute walk from plaza independencia. Staff are very helpful. Stayed in a private room with bathroom. Room had A/C and cable TV.

We had a great time in this hostel and enjoyed our stay. The owner was very helpful and friendly. It was always a familiar atmosphere and we had a great Christmas barbeque there and met some nice people during our stay.

Loved it! The rooms ( we stayed in three different ones just so we could remain), were clean and spacious. The garden and the house were beautiful and the staff were very helpful. They really were friendly and informative and seemed genuinely interested in talking and giving tips. Well - located as well. I would definitely return.

Nice place to stay in a small town. I liked my stay there and met really cool people. The outdoor part was cool and I was lucky with the weather. Staff was really kind and helped me find a nice place to eat Bife de chorizo.

Excellent hostel, ideal for a quiet stay yet welcoming enough to get to know new people and interact. Beautiful garden to relax, the pool is a bit small but can be refreshing in the dry Mendoza heat. Cleanliness was top-notch, all common areas and bathrooms were cleaned daily. My room was in the upper floor facing the street, a nice... More

In november we stayed several days in this beautiful place. Our rooms looked out over the garden and it was very clean. Most of all we liked the nice and very helpful people. They gave us the right information and so we had the opportunity to see the most beautiful places of this part of Argentina.

We've been here with my girlfriend for a week and that was a very good hostel. Everything is very clean, good location next to the center of Mendoza, all the rooms are bright especially the veranda and the garden is very pleasant. But, the best is the staff. The staff is very attentive and patient with you. All their advices... More

We stayed at this hostel for 3 nights. Our room was room 13, a double room with private bath in the building behind the main building. The room was clean but was very dark and worn, which caused it to look less clean. Not much lighting in the room. The paint on the walls was chipped, tiles in the bathroom... More

Welcome to Our Hostel...Bienvenidos! Hostel Alamo is among the most recent additions to Mendoza's hostel circuit. Once a family residence, we have renovated this beautiful and spacious home into a modern 14-bedroom hostel, while maintaining the integrity and charm of its original colonial style. The house was built in 1944 by the late architect Daniel Ramos Correa, who has made many significant architectural contributions to Mendoza, including participation in the city's main square, Plaza Independencia, and the Frank Romero Day Ampitheater, where the National Grape Harvest (Vendimia) Celebration is held annually. The lovely enclosed garden, terraces, fireplaces, and numerous windows throughout help to create the positive and cozy environment that is Hostel Alamo. Ideal Location...Hostel Alamo is conveniently located in the heart of downtown Mendoza, just a few blocks away from the main shopping and dining district. Literally just around the corner you’ll find one of the city’s newest and finest supermarkets, a bank, an internet and telephone cafe, a laundry facility, souvenir shops, kiosks, and a gas station, just to name a few.By car, we are merely 10 minutes from el Parque San Martín, 15 minutes from the bus terminal and 25 minutes from Mendoza’s Francisco Gabrielli Airport (better known as El Plumerillo). Our Mission...Hostel Alamo is owner-operated and together with our bilingual team, we strive to provide our guests with the highest standard of customer service with a personal touch. We make every effort to maintain a clean, comfortable, and relaxing atmosphere where our guests will always feel welcome and safe. Join us!...We hope you'll stay with us as you discover the natural wonders of Mendoza, Argentina and the rich culture of her people. Whether you wish to taste a typical Mendocinian Malbec during a tour of one of the city’s numerous bodegas, or spend the day in the mountains skiing or hiking, it would be our pleasure to arrange any excursion for you right here at Hostel Alamo.Or if you prefer, relax in our garden while you read a book and soak in some Argentinean sun, prepare an elaborate meal in our kitchen, or just stretch out on our sofa and enjoy a movie from our international DVD collection.
