The staff were not so great . the hotel is nice but the owners push you back, too much gridy for money...just a simple coffee, costs about 5 or 6 euro..( its a shame where much of the hotel , where we stayed...was really friendly and never chargers us for simple tea or black coffee. To be complete, you need to... More

After having driven a long stretch of dusty gravel roads we were sick of dust when we came to Los Canelos. Unfortunately the house is situated on just another dusty gravel road. Buses were stopping across the road and left motors running while waiting for their passengers - probably to keep the AC running. The dust and noise made it... More

We were booked into this hotel by our tour agency. Here are the pros and cons in a nutshell: The Good: - Comfortable bed - Lovely sitting area and patio (though no umbrellas or cushions on the loungers??) - Short 8-10 min walk from the town, which was great, because you were near enough to enjoy it without being in... Nicely located at the top of the town so we could walk to dinner every night which was nice. The hotel itself is absolutely lovely. Rooms are quaint and nicely done. The staff were not so great as we had a number of tour messages that we did not get. Be careful if it rains as the roofs are corrugated... More

Nice staff, nice wooden place, breakfast is limited but acceptable. It was very warm but the shower was a bit rubbish and the mad dogs that lived outside our window spent the whole time barking. There were 3-4 dogs barking constantly, non-stop when we went to bed. When I woke up during the night they were still barking and in... More

My wife and I were staying in the hostel next door and decided to walk in to see what they could offer. We were pretty impressed. The owner was able to offer us a special which was less then our hostel for a hotel quality room. The owner I thought was super nice but he did not speak much english.... More

My husband and I chose this hotel because it was priced well and looked "cute". We should have read more reviews before booking! The staff was not friendly at all--we were asked to change rooms after our 2nd night (we stayed for 3 nights) to accommodate a larger family. I feel that the appropriate rooms should be chosen from the... More

This hotel was an absolute gem. I've stayed in many places but few have inspired me to write about them. The town of El Calafate is about a 5 or 7 minute walk, as opposed to some of the hotels in the center of town. However, this place had amazing charm, great staff, and a great breakfast. Staying outside of... More
