Given I was travelling in Phoenix during baseball's spring training, it was pretty expensive, given the overall quality. But a nice enough room, good fridge and air conditioning, nice pool and helpful staff helped me overlook the price.

It started when we drove into the parking lot...people standing around smoking and watching each other, dogs barking in cars and kids running all over the place.
