Yea the place is cheap , but it feels like the price you pay. We did not enjoy and I guess will not recomand that place to our friends. The food was great. Go to dominicalocos... It's really nice here, a bit more expansive but great value for money. More

Well the room was small and would get too hot, and the bathroom often was not supplied with a bath mat and so would get all muddy, the toilets didn't flush right, and the staff told us the water wasn't safe and would have to buy bottled water from the bar (lies- the water in the tap is fine).... so... Our hotel recommended Tortilla Flats to us as did the travel guide we were using. A huge turnoff. Service was fine but got the order wrong. Vibe of the place was that of a gringo hangout. Better to search out other restaurants or sodas in the area. More

This is the perfect surfer's spot. You can't get closer to the beach. The views are fantastic. The view is fantastic, the fish tacos were excellent and the atmosphere was interesting! But be prepared that this is a surfers bar. People in various degrees of undress, beer flowing freely and the best sunsets. What else could you ask for in a beach bar. More

Tortilla Flats is a nice place to stay. Great location right accross the road from, and very close to the beach. There is a small market nearby run by friendly vendors and the Flats also incorporates a restaurant which is quite convenient. I've never stayed at Tortilla Flats, but when we are in Dominical it is our favourite place to eat and grab a beer.
