My husband and I spent 6 nights at Las Caletas. We appreciate very much everything about it ! Beautiful setting, all wooden, simple and natural buildings, on a top of a small hill right by a small bay to swim (2 min walk from the lodge), very clean and well arranged with care and thought, comfortable beds, very good food,... We stayed for 12 nights for a restful and interesting break before heading down to the Galapagos. Las Caletas totally lived up to its Trip Advisor reputation. Thanks to the two Davids and Jose it was fun and informative. We visited Isla Cano twice - unfortunately poor snorkelling visibility - but saw spotted dolphins on the way, hawksbill turtle, shark... Beautiful place! I was traveling solo and stayed in one of the tent cabins. They are nice and roomy enough, the bed was very comfortable. Just getting there is an adventure! The boat ride from Sierpe to the lodge was a lot of fun. Nature photography is a hobby of mine and there was plenty of opportunity for that! Lots... More

If you're looking for both peace and adventure, Las Caletas Lodge is it. Simple and brilliant. The food, the accommodation, the surroundings, the service -- it's hard to say which was best. Tremendous value for the money. I recommend it without qualification.

We spent five nights at Las Caletas and my husband wished I had booked longer. The cost to fly and stay is costly but we felt it was worth the expense. Really lovely location, private, you wouldn't know we'd gone during high tourist season. The food was great and because you eat together with the other guests it is a... More

We took a boat from Sierpe to Las Caletas which was a great way to approach our beach retreat where we spent 4 nights. The setting of Las Caletas is spectacular. From the sandy beach landing, you climb about 30 meters to the lodge that overlooks the Pacific among the palms, cecropias, and other trees. We stayed in "The Room"... More

Las Caletas is heaven for those who want to enjoy the peace and beauty of the Osa Peninsula naturally. The staff is wonderful and the guests are all interesting people. The food is really fabulous: delicious, plentiful and healthy. The atmosphere is very relaxed and the accommodations are simple and lovely. Las Caletas has a micro-hydro plant and solar panels;... David the manager was there to great us and made sure all our trips were planned. He was so nice to talk to and helped me spot the wildlife on the grounds. Jose the... More

I visited Las Caletas with a friend of mine. The food is outstanding, if I could give the food 6 stars I would. Jose is the resident tour guide and again, is fantastic. He knows everything about the wildlife and flora of Costa Rica. He speaks perfect English. The grounds are beautiful and the rooms are nice. There is no... More

Hello JAG3203 We appreciate your review and are always eager to hear our guests opinion. There is just one thing that we think you might be confused about, which is the fact you say that there is no beach to lay on and no ocean to swim in. Maybe that was the at some other hotel you stayed, but our... More

The three of us (3 adults) stayed at Las Caletas for five nights, which was about the right amount of time, in our estimation. We found the staff and owners to be very friendly, hospitable and helpful. If you are looking for a quiet, remote destination, I would recommend this lodge. We took advantage of the day trips to the... More
