The first thing I noticed at this hotel was that it did not display a star rating anywhere - I can only guess that it was downgraded from 3 to its current 2 star rating.
Rooms are large and liveable in but are very dated, particularly the bathrooms. The night I was staying, the hotel restaurant/bar were close and you...

Lets be clear on this hotel: it is ranked 2 start, it is on the location of a golf course (and so there is a little bit of walking around), and it is in a fairly remote area though near a very dull commuter town. It is noticeable also that the swimming pool has been closed for some time and...

Stayed there with my two small dogs - very accommodating. Very welcoming in Club Bar and made me a snack out of hours. Breakfast buffet choice was small but quality made up for the lack of choice. Would recommend for anyone looking for a quite location on the outskirts of Cork City.

We booked this hotel as a surprise for family who were celebrating a Ruby anniversary. There were 6 adults in the party and although the hotel was great and in a beautiful location the whole experience of Fernhill was let down by the clubhouse not serving food until the advertised times and the bar only staying open til 21:45 on...

We stayed here as a base for exploring the county of Cork. Directions were good and we arrived at lunchtime. Our room was ready for us - a good size with comfortable furnishings. It was let down by the very small and cramped bathroom, with the fittings coming loose eg we could not put anything on the glass shelf above...

I have just come back from a weekend in Fernhill Golf and Country club in Carrigaline. It is a total gem of a place. The Bar is located in the Club house. The Hotel itself is nice and peaceful. There are beautiful views from the breakfast room of the valley and golf course. The staff are very accommodating and nothing...
