Lovely old estate home that has been in the host's family for generations. Warwick and Ann are unique and interesting people and very gracious hosts. Working garden in the back and beautiful views. Furnishings may be a bit dated but the estate does date back to 1740. Comfortable beds and huge rooms. The radiator warmed up the cool room while... More

This was the most beautiful and majestic place to stay. It truly felt like a castle! We loved our hosts Ann and Warwick...Ann told some wonderful stories about their ancestors and the home. When we arrived they had scones, pastries, cookies and hot tea waiting...all delicious! Then we walked through the beautiful gardens. Our rooms were huge and all the... More

Only an hour from Dublin it is a great place to stay on the night before flying out. The house is truly amazing. It feels like stay in a castle. The hosts were very nice and most helpful. Ann told us much about the history of the house. Took a short drive to Weir's Pub for dinner which was excellent.... More

There is no question but this hotel is made special by its most gracious hosts; Anne and Warwick. Nothing was a problem and you are made to feel more like a guest in their beautiful home, rather than a hotel customer. We didn't sample the dinner on the one night we stayed as we were the only guests that night... More

The grand, historic home delivers a soul-filling mix of invigorating Irish countryside and a truly majestic place to explore. Every corner of the home is absolutely beautiful and transforms you to another era. Warwick and Anne are welcoming hosts, as well. It takes a bit to hunt and find the house, but it's worth it. Twisting and turning on the... More

Our difficulty is that Satnav /GPS brings people along the most twisty roads. It can become part of your Irish adventure. Check our directions on our website and they bring guests on the straightest and safest roads. Thank you for your very kind comments. We hope to see you again. Anne & Warwick O'Hara More

What a great place. A taste of genuine old Irish hospitality. The house is marvellous and authentic. We had a lovely room at the front with a four poster bed. We had breakfast and dinner ( needs to be agreed in advance) and the food was outstanding with many of the ingredients sourced from their own garden at the house.... More

I enjoyed a wonderful weekend stay at Mornington House with some friends to escape the city for some relaxation and country air. I felt totally looked after, kind of in the home from home sense - the accommodation was luxurious with spacious bedrooms, high ceilings, grand dining room a charming living room with a great open fire in the evenings... My boyfriend and I had booked this on a whim after spending a few days on the Shannon on a boat and thought it would be a nice way to break up the journey on the way home from Dublin. The pictures do not do this place justice, the rooms are wonderfully decorated and Warwick's and Anne's hospitality make the... More

Arrived at 6 pm after a 1 hours drive from Dublin. Straight away felt relaxed after taking a deep breath. The room was lovely with a brass bed. A stroll around the grounds followed by a nice cup of tea ensured the week was forgotten. Dinner was a wonderful affair served by Warwick using some of their home grown ingredients.... More

Quiet spacious elegantly decorated rooms, very comfortable, hosts are wonderful, breakfast is delicious! A real treat if you are in the mood for a nice quiet peaceful time away to relax. You can walk around the property, take in the beautiful countryside scenes, and hear stories about the history of Mornington- just perfect.
