The hotel is beautifully located by the harbour, a few minutes walk from the train station. My room was quite spacious, with a big bathroom, though without bathtub. Stripped design that reminds me of hotels in the Baltics. Small reception, steel elevator and long corridors. Even though the hotel is located in the harbour, few rooms have a good view. New hotel with a Nice location i the harbor of Halden. Nice and clean rooms with a large bathroom. Effective and polite staff in the lobby. Breakfast was pretty basic for Norway, but everything tasted good. In evenings the breakfastsalon turns into a steakhouse. If i'm flint back to Halden i will definately book a room here More

Halden is a small and very quiet town with very few choices of hotel. Thon Hotel is a new choice for me this year (they only opened 2009), they are reasonable priced at the time of visit and overall I am not disappointed.
