Our room in this hotel had a decent sized room - not huge, but big enough - and with a lovely bathroom. We had a balcony to stand on and watch the world go by below and the view looked over to the castelo. The welcome was very friendly and parking was to be had on the street right outside....

This is an excellent family run hotel (61 rooms) beside the castle wall in Chaves. Very attractive building, over 60 years old but in very good repair. Homely , comfortable rooms. Reasonable rates. Friendly, helpful staff. Restaurant available and modern bar/cafe area with both indoor and outdoor seating areas. Well situated for walking the city or touring the surrounding area....
