The apartment was really nice and clean. Amazing kitchen, really big and with all the kitchen equipment you could think of. The apartment had it's own little garden, plus you can use two different (large!) pools on the property. The village has a little shop and restaurant. More

Only problem we had was finding the reception but that was due to our ignorance and tiredness after a long day driving through the Sierras from granada. We were looking for a holiday complex - this place looks more like a residential complex. When we did find it the receptionist was very friendly and helpful. Very good price - apartment... More

A pretty whitewashed complex in the form of a mock village- sprawling up a slope off the N340 coast road. Not sure how variable the apartments are - ours 70- was modern, IKEA minimalist- which suited us fine. The negatives we had were our apartment overlooked the main road- although not busy in April; the toilet/drains did smell quite badly... More

Such a pretty holiday village. All the foliage, scented plants, various buildings and nooks and crannies make you want to explore. 3 lovely pools, a shop, launderette and ATM. The atmospheric Cave Bar is well worth a visit for cocktails. My one bedroom apartment was newly and attractively furnished with a well equipped kitchenette, freezer, iron, hairdryer etc. Towels provided,... More

The complex of El Capistrano, although modern, is designed to have a traditional Spanish pueblo feel and is delightful. It is very well laid out, with all the Andalucian style houses being low-rise and whitewashed. There is a very nice restaurant on the complex and a good size pool. There is a small supermarket very close and another larger one... More

I have been going to Capistrano for 26+ years and have never tired of going back. The village is close to the town of Nerja and is within a 10-15 minute walk. There is a good efficient and cheap bus service to and from Capistrano to the town, 1 Euro per journey. The village itself is built in the style... More

Having stayed at El Capistrano Village in Nerja a number of times my wife and I never tire of it. Beautifully maintained with fabulous gardens, 3 immaculate swimming pools, a little supermarket, a restaurant and a cave bar, what more could you ask for. Well for starters the properties which vary in size are very pretty and nearly all have... More

Stayed here during the Feria in Nerja in October (as it can be busy/noisy staying in the town during this time). Had booked a one bed apartment through Bookings.com. On arrival was allocated Villa Natacha which was a lovely one bed villa with a nice garden. It was at the lower end of el Capistrano -Pueblo area. As stated in... More

Accommodation: El Capistrano is quite difficult to review as the enjoyment of your stay would depend on where you were situated on the development. There are actually 3 ‘urbanisations’ that make up El Capistrano, with El Capistrano Village being the original. Like the brochures state the area is made to look like a typical Spanish mountain village. Wandering around the... More

Prior to our holiday, I was slighty nervous due to some very recent negative comments about this resort. My husband and I stayed her for the first two weeks of August 2011 with our 16 yr old son and his friend (same age). Had a great holiday. Staff all friendly and helpful, resort very, very clean and well kept. We... More
