Based on recent TA reports I booked a single night at the Bank and was delighted to find on arrival and during our stay that it met up to all my expectations. The staff was welcoming, knowledgeable & efficient. The room was delightful & comfortable and had everything one might need. The location is very special – a quiet corner... More

Completely endorse all the good things which have been said about this place. Attentive, personalised service from making the telephone booking direct, to check-in, helpful local advice (+maps/info/checking closing times) to excellent relaxed dinner with seasonal produce and good wines. Lovely large room with view of the river. Single travellers appeared welcome and at ease. The Bank House Hotel is... More

My wife and I regularly use the Bank House for lunch, and apart from one slip, ( which was dealt with straight away, followed by a e mail and phone call from the owner to make sure we where satisfied), we have always enjoyed the experience of eating in the bank house. The staff are friendly, and efficient, the food... More

A last minute fantastic deal. Friendly staff, wonderful food and comfy room (Henry Bell). There is little more to say except can't wait to go again. Kings Lynn is a lovely historic town to explore and it is well situated for visiting RSPB sites on the North Norfolk coast

This weekend was last minute. A good deal on champagne, dinner, bed and breakfast. Staff friendly, food fantastic, room (Custom House) super with huge bath and bathroom. Really hard to fault this hotel. And Kings Lynn was a revelation. Pick up a self - guided walking tour leaflet to fill up half a day. The place is amazingly historical, especially... More

Our third time staying at this lovely hotel and we chose to visit on a Saturday night on a dinner, bed and breakfast deal. We had the Captain's Room (as we did last time) which is a huge room overlooking the river with comfortable seating area, which is perfect for relaxing. The bed is incredibly comfortable. There are a few... More

We got a great price for a one night weekend stay direct from the hotel, the staff were great when I made the booking, and even better when I had to amend it by one night. We had stayed here some time ago and it was very very good, so were a little apprehensive as to whether things would still... More

this was our first visit to King's Lynn and the choice of Bank House was perfect to savour the delights of the old town area. The rooms are very comfortable and well appointed; we especially enjoyed the Custom House room. Dinner was an excellent experience with good food and attentive service. Breakfast was a less satisfying affair as the two... More

Great hotel, located (as the name suggests) on the river bank with a nice view. Very good food in a restaurant (had both dinner and breakfast there), quite popular with the locals but the staff book the table for guests as they check-in. One drawback was the booking process as I had to call up the hotel - they were... More
