we went to the halfway house for Sunday Lunch. It was very friendly and welcomed our children. High chairs & change mats available. Also a family friendly area with games etc. food was very good. the only slight negative is that I found the room cold (but I do feel the cold quite a lot). we would definatley go back.

As a Rep who’s been staying in hotels for over 10 years (the good, bad and ugly) this small family run inn was a great find. The owners were lovely The rooms were modern, well equipped and comfortable. Plus the menu and food quality were excellent. (a large tapas choice was an unexpected and pleasant find) All bundled up in... More

I came across The Halfway Inn whilst browsing online for a short Easter break. So glad I did! Lovely 4 poster bed room with wall mounted tv, tea and coffee etc etc, lovely spacious bathroom with nice shower. The food was delicious. A great choice on the menu - the treacle tart with orange zest was delicious. Had a fantastic... More

We stayed for 3 nights and the room we had was fantastic. Booked from late room at a special price! It was a family room we got and very private peaceful with our own private parking area with easy access in and out without having to go through the main bar area. The breakfast included was a hearty one, with... More

We stayed there for 1 evening in march for a last minute weekend away for my husbands birthday and although we only live in the west of cornwall seemed very pleasant place with walking off the road just behind the pub, it was a central point for padstow and wadebridge if you dont want to be in the heart of... We stayed here in August returning from a holiday having toured around the coast. We arrived at 5pm and entered the bar to check in. We were shown to our room promptly. The bar area looked great and we soon set about looking for a seat near the bar for a drink. Only to be told in no uncertain terms... More

This is a very strange review and we are in the process of checking our records to see whether this party actually stayed with us or if somebody has taken elements of other reviews and compiled one of their own for whatever reason! OK – arrival at 5pm – our evening opening time isn’t until 5:30pm with bed and breakfast... More

Stopped off here for lunch. We were made to feel very welcome by the couple who run the pub. No kids allowed in the bar but there is a small restaurant bar where we could be with our two. The food was good, the beer was great. And as stated previously, the landlady made us feel welcome and made a... More

Came across the Halfway House Inn whilst looking for a short break on Laterooms.com for my husband and myself. Arrived on Tuesday 25th September for a three night stay, what a gem of a find as it is a stunning place and very easy to commute back and forth around North Cornwall. Lesley is a font of knowledge and gave... More

Stayed at the Halfway House for two nights with my wife as I was taking part in the Padstow Triathlon, 6 miles away on the Sunday morning. Location is convenient for Padstow, Wadebridge, Port Isaac and Newquay as it is on the main A39, although a car is required as there is little to do within walking distance. We stayed... More

We thank the customer for their review and would like to point out that access restrictions only apply to rooms 8, 9 and 10 which are above the bar. Rooms 3,4,5,6 & 7 all have their own entrances with access available at any time after initial check-in times. More
