I would echo the comments of others who have stayed in rooms on the ground floor of St. Edmund's House. The noise of anyone above is quite intolerable - you can hear every movement. Unfortunately for us, the guests above seemed to walk around in boots or heavy heeled shoes for most of the time, and seemed to wake up... More

Arrived mid afternoon Tuesday for a two night padstow experience Reception is at the seafood restaurant fifty meters below the house. Staff polite and professional. Escorted to the room and shown around Spacious room and bathroom French doors open up to a pleasant garden area. The only small gripe is the soundproofing in the rooms could be better. The seafood... I had the displeasure of going to a chef who I am long aquainted with the cleberity TV Chef, who i keep seeing with his local food heros, British products, about he was so passionate about British food, and British ingrediants, How Bitish was best, and how it made him so mad about the loss of traditonal Britishness, to be... Padstow What a lovely little village! Lots of little streets full of tourists all looking for the elusive outside seat in the sun where a nice glass of wine could be enjoyed. Great place for a day trip, maybe 2. Rick Steins - St Edmunds Apartments Very nicely appointed rooms with parking, although no reception area so all booking in... More

Can't speak highly enough of this place - top notch, tasteful accomodation in a really fabulous setting, away from all the tourists and hustle and bustle of busy Padstow (we visited at the height of the summer season and Padstow was absolutley HEAVING with people - best to avoid August if you can possibly visit at another time). Prior to... More

This was a last minute holiday booking and we were delighted with the hotel. Our room (Constantine) was bright, airy, lovely, spacious with a chic bathroom. The view from the large bay window was great (despite the weather!) and toiletries high end (Molton Brown). The bathroom had a lovely big bath and a very powerful rain shower. We ended up... More

Stayed here early Feb on 2 night winter package. Upgraded to St Edmunds as it was my birthday- turned out to be a very good choice indeed. we checked in at the Seafood restaurant and were shown up to St Edmunds House (it's about a 1 minute walk up a narrow lane ). The gentleman who checked us in was... More

Fantastic time At Rick Stein's and when you stay in one of his accommodations you get brilliant dinner booking times ... which we did at 7.30 and had the best meal we had ever had in our lives .... The whole experience was fantastic, food, service, ambience and accommodation perfect More
