We were given a very warm welcome, in fact virtually all the staff were very helpful indeed. Our room was pleasant and spacious enough but could have been more effectively furnished; the wardrobe could have been taller allowing for full hanging. The inn was let down by the quality of the evening meal. We both ordered sole with buttered potatoes... More

Travelling alone on holiday, The Old Inn was booked merely on chance. I was not disappointed . The initial impression was of a warm comfortable establishment which remained throughout my stay. All the staff were friendly and helpful, for example I couldn't get my somewhat old fashioned TV to work, but no trouble, a member of staff put down what... More

I was travelling alone on business. I was given a nicely appointed room, with an en-suite bath as requested. The welcome and concern shown by the receptionist was good. The room was comfortable, but there were a few problems. There were no drinking glasses in the bedroom, and the TV was very old, with the digital receiving box precariously perched... More

We arrived with high expectations and were not initially disappointed, receiving a warm welcome, a comfortable room and a sense that the dog was welcome (even got his own towel!). The location is stunning and the hotel setting beautiful. If you like to walk then you won't be disappointed. Make a point of finding the beach! In the evening we... More

Stayed the night at the old inn with couple of friends. Had taken a room for 3, which we found a little cramped but nevertheless, the excellent food served made up for it more than adequately! Only hitch we had was that the WiFi network is our room was none, even though it was advertised that I would have coverage.

The manager booked us in at very short notice for two nights after the hotel we had booked weeks ago let us down. We had been for very good meals at this hotel but never stayed before. The room was lovely (the manager showed me it on request), they had a roaring fire in the lounge and comfy leather settees.... More

We stayed for 2 nights on a tour of the west coast. The hotel is in a lovely, peaceful setting at the end of Flowerdale close to the harbour for boat trips. The building is old and cosy with lots of character, including the stone walls and open fires. Our ensuite room no. 2 was spacious, comfortable and clean, although... More

I had a two night stay here in April 2013 whilst on a solo motorbike tour of the highlands. I stayed in room 7 which was ideal for me. The staff were great and most helpful, when I had a puncture they contacted the local garage, re arranged my onward journey by contacting the next hotel and assisted greatly with... More

We received a rather abrupt welcome by being told to move our cars from the large open area to the rear for no apparent reason and in the pouring rain!Tried to charge for our prepaid room so not a great welcome! To be fair, the room was lovely, warm, clean and comfortable. The shower oressure was disappointing hiwever the exposed... More
