Only stayed for one night, but will definitely return. The staff, especially the manager and manageress, couldnt have been more helpful and accommodating. Nothing was too much trouble. I left my phone charger in room and they found it and then offered to post it. Room was lovely and breakfast lovely.

Firstly, the room (we stayed in Cloisters) was lovely and spacious, clean and inviting. The bed was comfortable and the en suite had an excellent shower with lots of hot water and nice extras. The Red Lion is ideally situated to explore the whole of Lacock on foot - two minutes from the Abbey and other attractions. However, I would... More

Overall very good. Stayed for 2 nights in room 2 Tithe side which was very spacious with a good bath and shower room. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was simple but very good especially the breakfast. Friendly bar with open fires and plenty of character. The room was very clean with traditional furnishings. Minor down sides... More

We had a different room this time, for our second stay here. Room 3, Chamberlain's View. A great view of the Tithe Barn opposite and down the street towards the Bakery. The room was clean and comfortable, plenty of space and the bathroom quite large with a shower unit. On a busy night, some noise can travel up from the... More

I stayed here with a friend for a long weekend as we both needed to relax after busy times at work. And relax we did! There had been a mix up with an online booking but staff were hugely apologetic and professional, contacting me before our stay to offer a solution which meant we had two rooms on our second night.... My husband and I stayed here for a long weekend in February. We were greeted by very helpful and friendly staff which set the precedent for the entire stay. The staff were friendly and efficient throughout. The service was excellent. We stayed in The Tithe Side room and the room was large, very comfortable and tastefully furnished. It had a... More

Small but nicely-decorated, clean room with lovely big bathroom and great shower. We’d done a deal to include a two course dinner and were advised that there was a party of 30 in at 8pm so we wisely opted for early dining. Good food from limited menu which, I always think, is a good sign. ‘Im indoors had liver which... More

One of the best pubs we've stayed. Rooms were crisp and beautifully decorated. We had a 3 year boy with us and the staff were very friendly and helpful. (playground out the back) The food was very high quality, and I would recommend eating by the fire in the winter. Perfectly located to explore Lacock and only a few miles... More

We enjoyed two nights at the Red Lion. We had a large and very comfortable room (Tithe Side). Breakfast was excellent, we also ate dinner there in the evening and had very good food, ample portions of well prepared home made food. the chef/ manager was an excellent chef, preparing cyclist size portions of very healthy food. Delicious. His friendly... More
