Stopped off here for food at the weekend. The food is amazing huge portions for a reasonable price. We sat in the pub part as there was a private function in the restaurant part. The staff are friendly :)

My husband and I were passing through Castle Douglas and stopped for Sunday lunch on 20th January.. The food and service were excellent. and everyone was very friendly. I will definately be back. I have recommended this hotel to friends if they are ever in this area

Stayed at the Crown this week with business colleagues, rooms clean and tidy, food fantastic, both dinner and breakfast (if you have both of these, lunch is not needed). Portions are amazing. Every member of staff and the owners were a delight. I wouldn't stay anywhere else in Castle Douglas.
