The reception was nice, very traditional neat and tidy and that is that...... tatty, dirty looking cold corridor to our room which was exactly what our room was like. tatty, dirty, wallpaper coming off the wall, paint peeling dirty scuffed skirting boards. horrid bathroom, paint peeling ,dirty grouting and the bath looked so bad we wore flip flops to shower.... Fantastic value for money.. hotel was basic but that is what I expected at that price ,room was clean, the only Issue was the incredibly squeaky floorboards from above ... The staff were friendly and helpful...

went on caledonian coach tour to this hotel early april 2013 we found the hotel offered good service, the bedroom was comfortable, with ensuite facilities the food was very good and all the staff we very pleasant so all in all a nice hotel and good value for money

Great external facade and smack in the center of town. When coming into Ullapool on the afternoon ferry from Stornoway it's very easy to find and plenty of parking around the back. To be fair we did look for a cheap hotel and that is what we got. The room itself was fine comfortable beds, warm and a good shower. Big & busy. The bar was a wee delight with the accordion player keeping us all entertained. Room was warm, clean, bright & spacious & the breakfast excellent. A bit of a maze to get around but the staff were eager to help
