This is a lovely B&B run by a very enthusiastic and helpful owner, Johnny. Although the rooms aren't luxurious they are spotlessly clean and very comfortable. If you intend to sit in your room for any length of time this might not be the place for you, but it's a brilliant base to tour the Waternish peninsula and isn't too... More

Spotlessly clean B&B, and Johnny is the friendliest host you could hope to meet! Helped us set out an itinerary, gave tips and told funny stories. This is a quiet area of Skye, but incredibly beautiful. More

We stayed for 3 nights a couple weeks ago. The rooms were perfect - right across the hall from each other so our kids could be in a separate room while remaining close-by. As others have mentioned the powerful hot showers were much appreciated as we were there during a chillier time of year. Wonderful breakfast - our 7 year... More

This is a lovely B & B. Johnny is a great host and nothing is too much trouble including running us down to the pub when it was raining. The rooms are comfortable and we had a lovely view of the bay. This is a quiet area of Skye and it was lovely to get away from it all. The... More

Was just there last week & really enjoyed our stay. Super clean, great location - nice & quiet. Johnny was a great host! Shower was fantastic...free wifi, breakfast was delicious -- couldn't ask for more. Just hoping I can get back there someday! Paul, Washington DC More

Modern, super clean and comfortable B&B. Great peat fire that heats the whole place really well. Breakfasts are solidly good. Waternish is a quiet corner of Skye with a great local pub with food, beer and whisky. Johnny was really friendly too, with plenty of tips about hidden places on skye worth visiting. More

Lochbay B&B is a wonderful find. If you're exploring this part of the island - and you should - then base yourself here. It's great value - the rooms are small, clean, airy and light, with Sky TV (if you're at a loose end) and free wifi. It's a warm and cosy place to come home to after a day's... More

We recently stayed at the Lochbay Bed and Breakfast in Waternish. Our stay was lovely--the breakfasts were great (especially the tattie scones), our Scottish host was friendly and flexible, and the B&B is well situated to explore the north part of Skye. We were also glad for the modern conveniences: fast wifi and a robust list of cable channels. I... More

Agree with all those other overwhelmingly positive reviews here on trip advisor. Our ferry from Oban was cancelled and we had to find accommodation near Uig in Skye, and took a chance on this one. The weather was wild and we arrived to find the heating on and the log fire lit. Johnny is a very very welcoming host, always... More
