I booked my family into the ivybridge to break up a long journey home after getting of the ferry at midnight. When we pulled up at 0030 hrs my 3 young children were very tired and as you would expect we wanted to get them to bed as soon as possible. The hotel was less than 5 minutes from the... More

My wife and I and adult daughter have spent four 3-night breaks at Ivybridge during the last four years. We now see it as our base for visiting North Pembrokeshire. We have always found the staff most welcoming. We have used various rooms and always found them most satisfying. On our most recent visit we had rooms 7 and 8,... More

Stayed at Ivybridge last weekend with my Ramblers group and thoroughly enjoyed it there. All the staff went out of their way to be friendly and welcoming, the room I shared with a friend (The Loft) was spacious, spotlessly clean and extremely comfortable. It was set apart from the main building and accessed via a spiral staircase which was no... More

My wife and I were looking for a relaxed short break with some good walking. Pembrokeshire seemed an ideal location and the Ivybridge a good base. This proved to be the case. Very reasonable rates combined with lovely food made it a perfect walking holiday. Rooms were spacious and comfortable. Ample parking onsite. Breakfasts to die for. More

We stayed at Ivybridge for one night on our way to Eire and again for a night on our return. The bedroom was very convenient for my husband, who is on crutches, and although basically furnished was clean and comfortable. The food was delicious and Will's scallops were better than any we had in Eire - cooked to perfection. I... More

Stayed a couple of nights in July 2011 when exploring the St Davids area. Hotel is in Goodwick, not Fishguard, but must be convenient for ferry travellers. Easy to find given instructions on web. Room was dated and most of the work on it and the bathroom had clearly been a DIY job rather than professionally done. Bed comfortable. Some... More

In March I emailed 5 hotels and asked what they could offer for a five night stay for dinner b. & b. The Ivybridge was the first to reply, made a great offer so we went to Wales. (1 hotel replied the day before we went, and 1 still has not replied!) We received an excellent welcome. The dinner was... More

We had the great pleasure of staying at the Ivybridge before our ferry to Ireland. We arrived late into the evening and enquired about food, without hesitation, Will reopened the restaurant and produced an exceptional freshly cooked meal for four in 30 minutes! Nothing here seems to be too much trouble and that to us means more than the fancy... More

Ivybridge Guest House is a gem. I stumbled upon it, but I'll be returning as often as possible. Located near the Fishguard ferry to Ireland and trains to Cardiff, Ivybridge is close to lots of Pembroke destinations, for fishing, hiking, horse-back riding, and, of course, Saint David's. There's plenty of car parking or buses to take you throughout the area.... More

We frequently travel to the countryside and do not look for 5* accomodation. Just a clean comfortable room that takes a small well behaved dog. The room was not clean. There were left over 'gummy bears' under the bed and sweet wrappers. We arrived late and didn't notice the left overs til morning. I brought one gummy bear to the... More
