We stayed at Ty Gwyn in April along with six other friends. A warm welcome awaited us with Sue giving us local information about walks etc. and in fact we were left welsh cakes to enjoy on our return. We stayed in the Dylan room and could not fault the cleanliness and character of the room. Fantastic meal out at... More

Ty Gwyn is situated in a good spot, close to the centre of Crickhowell. There are lovely views to the front, and a really nice landscaped garden at the rear, with a beautiful stream running through. The building is full of character, but the main asset of the B&B were its' owners Sue & Pete were friendly, warm, welcoming and... More

After a good walking day in the cold days of April 2013, both the welcome as well as the room were warm and comfortable. The location is perfect: close to the Beacons way and pub etc. The rooms are high quality and the breakfast was complete and plenty. A good nights rest in a good bed prepared us for another... More

Sue and Pete could not have done more to make us feel welcome if they tried. They clearly love what they do and this shows in the service they provide. The rooms are spotless and every little detail has been considered. The breakfast was lovely with plenty of choice. Despite the fact that it is not too far from where... More

Stayed here for six nights at the beginning of March 2013 for the Crickhowell Walking Festival. The room was up to the usual high standard, breakfast was as good as ever, using locally sourced produce and the welcome from Sue and Pete was wonderful. It was lovely to get back from a cold walk and find freshly made Welsh Cakes... More

We stayed at Ty Gwyn for one night but we wished that it could have been more. Our hosts were very welcoming and we liked the little extras; a plate of Welsh Cakes to have with our coffee and a bookcase with books, DVDs and CDs to enjoy in our room, plus lots of local information. Breakfast was fantastic -... More

Stayed for four nights, had four wonderful breakfasts and four days of good conversation with Sue and Pete! Room was well equipped, warm, comfortable and the bed was just right. Plenty of storage and drying for boots and wet gear. In the dining room is a mountain of local information on outdoor activities, routes for walks etc. Parking was off... More

Sue & Pete are excellent hosts. A really lovely place to stay in the Brecon Beacons. Great sized room with everything that you could need, lovely breakfast to set you up for a day in the superb countryside. Highly recommended, just watch your car on the narrow driveway!

We stayed here for 1 night in February. The owners kindly made available the self catering cottage for one nights bed and breakfast. We were made welcome by Sue and enjoyed eating the Welsh cakes. Breakfast was tasty. The cottage was very cold but it was an exceptionally chilly period in the year. It is in walking distance to the... More

This is the third time that I have stayed at Ty Gwyn for the annual Crickhowell Walking Festival and, once again, I was very well looked throughout. It was also nice to see several other regulars there, a good sign that Sue and Pete are keeping up their usual high standards. My next trip to Crickhowell has been booked and... More
