“Basic hotel right on Plaza Bolivar - great location”

If you want an economic hotel right in the historic centre this is a good one. The rooms are basic with private bathroom and airconditioner. There is a restaurant on th roof and lots of cafes around. The square reflects Venezueian culture, politics and history. The receptionists are not very friendly and speak little English but that does not matter. More

Even though they accept credit cards, they did not feel letting me pay with this when I arrived. I did the big mistake of forgetting my dollars back home when I left, and all the ATM's at the airport was closed. I manage to change in my last 2 Euros to get the bus from the airport into town. Hotel plaza catedral was horrible. i stayed in a five-bed room with some friends. the air conditioning was never cool and the employees said that they were trying to conseve energy. To try to adjust the setting of the unit, maids were sent after about 45 minutes of calling and visiting the front desk each time an adjustment was necessary... More
