Cabarete is not within walking distance of any restaurants, shops, or activities worth your while. The beach is also not conducive to swimming (in fact, they encourage you not to get into the water.) We are a family of 4 and loved ocean manor resort. We were in room 322 and although it didn't have a view of the ocean, it was very spacious with 2 bedrooms, a large living room and balcony.
