It was not a pleasant stay at The Rose Guest House ! There's no doubt the owners and their team of staff are very friendly and welcoming - so I agree with other reviewers on that. However the Guest House fails on virtually every other point and seriously needs to invest to make improvements to match other B&Bs in the... More

Having just done an overnight wildcamp and climbed suilven i was ready for a hot bath and a comfy bed; Ed couldnt offer me the former, but the hot shower was wonderful, and the bed was indeed comfy. It was a little late to go looking for dinner so Ed kindly made me a home-cooked dinner, catering effortlessly for my... More

We arrived with no booking late in the day and were immediately made welcome with tea and biscuits. Brilliant friendly service, room with top of the world view and a set-u-up for the day breakfast with coffee to your own personal taste. Ed is a great fella who would do anything to make you feel completely at home. More

A great stay. Room with a view of Suilven, very friendly owner (Ed) and a lovely full Scottish breakfast. Incredible value at £28 (as of Feb 2012). Would definitely stay again. Ed is a dude. More

My week-long stay at the Rose Guest House in November/December was very comfortable. The owner (Ed) was extremely welcoming and helpful throughout my stay. Breakfast was excellent. The local area has stunning scenery. Decent mountain bikes are available to hire from the guest house. More

It s a great place to stay. Perfect view on the harbour and Suilven. Ed, the owner is very friendly and makes a good breakfast. Although the house is a little bit old it is very clean ( they cleaning every day). Also you will get new towels every day. In short: a great place to stay! More

We only planned to spend a few nights at The Rose in Lochinver. Turned out we stayed there for 8 nights. We had been there before and were very satisfied last time. We stayed in the ensuite room overlooking the harbour and mount Suilven. A warm welcome from Ed, the owner, and from Hans & Esther, who helped him out... More
