We've dined at the Albannach several times over the past 20 years but in April 2013 we also stayed there and had a wonderful time. Friendly, attentive service without being fussy; superb 5-course dinner and excellent breakfast; penthouse suite very spacious and comfortable with beautiful views over the bay to Suilvan and Canisp.

We spent two glorious nights here. Have stayed and eaten at other Michelin starred places and this is the best! Fantastic views across Lochinver harbour to Suilven from 4 poster. Food was delicious and the atmosphere peaty and cosy. No pretention just perfection.

An unforgettable evening with splendid service and astonishing food. For a special meal it was real value for money. The staff and location are wonderful, and we ended with a great chat with the chef-proprietor, who has no business being as nice as he is. We can't wait until our next visit. Long live the Albannach!

Everything about this place is just fantastic, we really enjoyed a few pre dinner drinks in front of the roaring log fire before siting down to a display of culinary excellence.
