My wife and I are very experienced travellers, as well as wilderness canoeists and campers. Algonquin is a touchstone for us, but the corridor is very busy with 'tourists'. Bartlett Lodge is our dream destination, and we look forward to our annual fall trip. The food is second to none, anywhere, period. The staff in the restaurant cannot be improved... More

It's a very romantic place. Very friendly and helpful staff. Rooms are great with a fireplace, more comfortable than I expected. The food was very tasty and unique, the service very friendly. It's a bit pricy but worth to stay. You can do some wonderful hikes around.

I'm a Toronto resident on a moderate travel budget and wanted to stay in one of the 3 lodges in Algonquin Park just once in my life-time. I chose to go to Bartlett Lodge partly because it involved a boat-ride to get there so surely it was quiet and island-like. It was. We went in the fall to hike when... More

What should have been a highlight on our visit to East-Canada turned out to be a disappointment. Though staying in tent looks very romantic I can assure you it is not. The area is so crowded with mosquito's that one cannot enter or leave the tent without bringing in a lot of them. To keep the temperature a little bit... More

The lake was spectacular. It's a canoer's dream with lots of islands and inlets to explore and the quality of canoe for guest use was very good. Very disappointed with the food. While it was flavorful, i thought it was average only. The portions were very small and after 5 coursers I expected to be full but I wasn't. The... More

We have travelled the world and never been expected to leave a 15% Gratuity for the entire bill. We would not have minded leaving a gratuity on a portion, but did not like being told at checkout that a Gratuity is expected and being shown twice where the 15% button was on the VISA machine. Our stay was very good... More

My husband and I just returned from 2 days "Glamping" at Bartlett Lodge ...This was glamour Camping in Algonquin Park Ontario. This is a lovely Lodge set on a tranquil lake and very expertly run by Marilyn and a lovely team of mostly young people who go out of their way to make you feel welcome. We really enjoyed the... Arriving at Bartlett Lodge is just like coming home - if home had a 5-star chef and an Algonquin lake on its doorstep. Marilyn's warm welcome is matched only by her attention to every detail. And Susannah is always so genuinely happy when guests are happy - how is this even possible for someone who must work 18 hours a... More

We were looking for a National Park near Toronto to experience some back country in Canada as well as relax for our Honeymoon. We were only able to get to Algonquin by Parkbus.ca and the manager's son came to pick us up from one of the stops, which we were grateful. A quick boat ride across Cache Lake takes you... More

My husband and I just spent two nights at Bartlett Lodge and were overwhelmed with the smiles and warm hospitality of everyone - right from when Trevor picked us up at the shore. This resort is elegance in a natural environment. They have spent considerable time and effort to make the surroundings MOST comfortable yet still maintaining a wilderness setting... More
