We have stayed here 2 or 3 times. Ken and his staff are wonderful. The "moose team" really khows how to cater to their customers. The meal ( which are included and you have choices ) are prepared with care and are delicious. The lodge itself appears rustic however the cabins are beautifully and comfortably decorated. I loved the fireplace... More

We are pleased that you enjoy yourself so much when visiting up here. Ken and spouse Penny (team) are very appreciative of your kind words. This coming weekend we open up the free canoes and the kayaks for using on our semi-private lake which is 5 km long. Looking forward to taking care of you again soon. More

Over the past 8 years we have been here 4 times. We came in Jan 2013, but we had not been here in a few years. Came with another couple....fantastic! snow great..skiing awesome. The other couple had never been here, but the Couples Resort. They were much happier here. Can't say enough about Ken and staff....food and service awesome! Cabins... More

Thank you for your kind and generous review. In April we have implemented new changes with Ken and spouse, Penny, now taking care of everything for you. It is delightful that you are so pleased in this type of northern getaway. Thanks for bringing your friends. More

We stayed in the Virgin Islands cabin in and luckily got the last weekend that there was still a fair amount of snow around. It was lovely. The cabin was spacious with an ensuite bath but the jacuzzi tub and the wood burning fireplace were the show stoppers. This is not a fancy place. It is quiet and rustic. The... More

Thank you for enjoying your private escape so wonderfully. Did you ski on April 13th, the last weekend of trails, it was a beautiful weekend of plus 10'C with skiing in t-shirt weather. Often if there is a good snow winter we ski after the trails are officially closed at the end of March, and it is ok to do... More

We recently returned from our first, and last, visit to Adventure Lodge. We went with friends who had previously stayed there but not in a few years and they too were disappointed in the lodge. There doesn't appear to be any housekeeping services as our cabin obviously hadn't been cleaned in some time. The bed sheets and bath towels were... More

Thank you for staying with us. We were glad that we made the coffee when you requested it, many nights guests prefer no coffee, so we make it only on demand, sorry we were not gracious enough of your request, we will improve. We are glad we took the gum on the lamp when you pointed it out to us,... More

This was our sixth time staying at Adventure Lodge. The last time was about 3 years ago. Adventure Lodge is owned by the bear trail resort and used to be a more casual get away with the SAME standards as the Bear Trail Inn, or what they call Couples Resort now. THINGS HAVE SURE CHANGED. Lets start with the rooms.... More

Thank you for your patronage. The prices at the Adventure Lodge were always considerably lower than at the Bear Trail aka Couples Resort especially since the Couples Resort is a 5 Star Resort. It came very clear over the years, with continued company operating losses, that with very few accommodations (9) at the Adventure Lodge that guests would have to... More

My husband and I just came back from an amazing, much needed, weekend away at Adventure Lodge. We stayed in the Dominican Cabin and was impressed with the comfort level that the cabin had to offer. The food was great and Penny and Ken were amazing hosts. We did a couple of trails in Algonquin Park and then just relaxed... More

We stayed at Adventure Lodge for the 4th time in January and had our best time yet! In our experience Adventure Lodge just keeps on getting better! As usual, Ken and Liz were amazing hosts (Penny was helping out too and was great!), making us feel spoiled. Love the personal touch, that they always have time to chat with us!... More

My wife Sandy and I spent a couple days midweek January in the Fireplace only cabin. It was the first one off the parking lot which was great due to the dumping of snow they had earlier that day. We were running late and Ken assured us that we had plenty of time to catch dinner service. We rolled in... More

Just spent a couple of nights at the Adventure Lodge and we really enjoyed it! The cabin was a good size (we were in one of the smaller - no jacuzzi - units) with a fireplace and lots of wood. It was really great to come back from a day of snowshoeing / skating and get a fire going to... More
