The Pines Resort is a perfect family getaway spot for families in California's Central Valley. Less than an hour from Fresno, you'll feel like you're days away from the city. Bass Lake is a nice place to stop along your trip to Yosemite National Park but is seventeen miles from the South Gate (along a windy highway in the mountains)... More

Visited Bass Lake in memorial day weekend, and stayed in Pines Resort. Room is clean and nice. We stayed in Chalet, which is like fully furnished cabin. It was one bedroom with two queen beds, but living room is big enough for four people. In furnished kitchen, there's everything you need. Lake is beautiful and you can do incredible water-sports... I spent three nights in a separate townhouse. It was an average experience as everything is warn out and you feel like everything like carpeting, furniture is very dirty. On a good side, the place had many utensils, so you could cook your own breakfast, including coffee. At the resort territory there is small pool and a beach, but this... More

We appreciate your comments regarding the resort. The chalets are rustic, although the owners have actually updated quite a number of items since their purchase two years ago. This will be an ongoing project for them as they are aware of the items that need to be replaced. They have in the last year, replaced the following: carpets, sofas, bedding... More

The setting of this resort couldn't be more beautiful. The room was spacious and comfortable and we loved the big jet spa in the bathroom. Our only real complaint is that we got back to the room after a long day to find that our room was not cleaned at all which naturally would infuriate any guest - and we... More

A friend and I stayed here in June 2011 for about 3 days, in a chalet. Our intention was to stay here and go to Yosemite for a day from here, which we did. It's about a one hour drive from the park, but worth it in my opinion. The views from the resort are simply stunning. You can swim... More

What a serene, tranquil, refreshing atmosphere! In early March, the climate is mild enough to walk around with or without a light sweater. We had our annual planning session and they were prepared to assist readily. The Pahoma Room is business-ready with a refrigerator, microwave, computer, printer, and meeting supples. We brought our own technology, but it's good to know... More
