The Chalfant House was my first experience with a B&B and now I'm hooked. I just returned from my second visit and will continue to stay there the next time I'm in Bishop (if rooms are available). The house itself is quite charming, the bed is comfortable, and the breakfasts 'to die for.' Thank you for a wonderful experience!

Motels in Bishop are grungy or overpriced, so we went for this B&B. There was too much clutter of unstable, fragile antiques and oversized furniture. A gem of a place. The owners have done a wonderful job of decorating this historic house. Peaceful and close to great restaurants. The owners are very friendly and breakfast was great. And the prices are an amazing value!

We came across the Chalfant House on a last mintue trip to Bishop on 4th of July weekend. Most places were booked solid.
