Driving thru gorgeous scenery all day on the east side of Sierra Nevadas, got tired and pulled into Ruby Inn in very small Bridgeport. Asked 2 questions: How much for room and how is your wifi? For 2 people, 1 Q bed they quoted: $106 + 12% tax and wifi very good. Got an old, cramped room but clean and... More

Bridgeport is a quiet one main street town that harkens back to the past. The Ruby Inn fits in just fine. It is a motel from the old school. Very well maintained (museum quality), simple rooms, very clean....a personal window to the past days of travel. The owners and staff are wonderful and you are sure to enjoy a break... More

We stayed for one night on our way out of Yosemite and on to Sequoia Park. It was a very comfortable room with a king bed, lots of room and we parked our car right outside of the room so loading and unloading the car was very easy. Easy access to ice machine and a continental breakfast came with the... More

The room was cramped, the furniture was cheap, the old TV on a stand blocked the door, and most of the fittings in the bathroom were in desperate need of replacement. And if you are in the shower when the person next door starts theirs, you will be either frozen (me) or scalded (wife). The breakfast consisted of pastries and... More

Made last minute reservations and my boy friend and i were pleasantly surprised by the room we stayed in. The inn is an obviously older inn, but everything worked perfectly and was VERY clean. The only problem we had was the older plumbing, we could hear the water running in the rooms next to ours, but other than that, our... More

We arrived in Bridgeport about 5:30pm on a Monday night without reservations. The first couple places we stopped had notes on the door that the management was at a meeting and would return by 8pm. When we arrived at the Ruby Inn, the owner was at the front desk, and greeted us in a friendly manner. We booked a king,... More

We stopped in Bridgeport on a family trip to Yosemite. The motel is basic, but is quiet and well-run. The welcome was genuine, and the owner gave us some good advice on finding the local hot springs (worth a visit but ask for directions!). The room was comfortable, clean and well-maintained. A simple breakfast (coffee/pastries) was included in the price.... More

We were traveling through OR and CA and this was our stop before a day at Yosemiite. The people were very friendly and courteous. The room was clean and comfortable. The beds were a little hard. Basic motel and a very basic breakfast. Bridgeport is a cute little town. Definately recommended.

Stayed at the Ruby Inn in Bridgeport in July 2012 while on the way to Yosemite. Good clean no-frills mom & pop motel. Nothing more, nothing less. Helpful front desk clerk guided us to an excellent local Mexican restaurant outside of town for dinner and the continental breakfast the next morning was good and filling. Within walking distance to most... More

Picked this place because it was the closest available hotel near Lee Vining. Glad I did. Bridgeport is a one-horse town - you can walk from one end to the another in a few minutes. But there's good food at the Bridgeport Inn, and the stay at the Ruby Inn was pretty good. Clean, courteous and attention paid in all... More
