My family was made to feel like royalty when checking into this hotel. The front desk staff was SO welcoming. We only stayed one night but would absolutely go back The courtesy shuttle into Carlsbad was a nice perk. From our room you could see the ocean. The breakfast buffet was yummy!

Hilton Garden Inns are kind of standard, but this one is particularly blessed with two things: 1) the pool is huge and quite warm (could be a bit deeper, but that's okay) and 2) the proximity to the ocean allows for a nice ocean breeze at night. Be careful as it gets foggy however.
