The new lobby and dining area/bar in these hotels is very functional, and while some might find it a bit cafeteria-like, it serves the purpose nicely. Rooms are clean and quiet. This hotel just went through a major renovation of their common area. They have these great "pod-like" areas - some with their own TV's. The staff is very pleasant and the bartender, Aaron, is just the best! I stay here 4-5 times per year and wouldn't choose another hotel in Carlsbad. It is comfortable and cozy. More

This hotel is in an out of the way business park but close most of Carlsbad. We just stayed for the night, it was clean, and the bed was comfortable. There is very little bedding, so bringing an extra blanket is not a bad idea. Also, it is not quiet. The hotel staff was very welcoming. More
