I absolutely loved Carmel and this Inn is greatly located near all the shops and a short walk to the beach. The room was small for 3 people - my daughters and I shared this room and one of us had to sleep on the floor. But the view was excellent so I did not mind the size for one... More

I have to say that I think the correct word to describe Carmel is twee, Monterey is a multi megaton tourist bomb disaster site ( I prefer Stienbeck's version of Monterey fictional though it was) and Pebble Beach would be better off dedicated to the sea lions than the monumental egos that currently shape it. The Pine inn fits this... More

We were impressed from the minute we entered the lobby. The sitting room was a delight. It was in red tones with period furnishings. There was a fireplace with a welcoming fire. The staff was so friendly as well. The walk up the stairs made me feel that I was in my own Victorian mansion. Each room was individually furnished.... More

The location of the hotel is excellent as it is in the middle of the main shopping street. The room was very nice and quiet, we did not hear a sound from the hallway or adjacent rooms. The woman at reception was very helpful and the breakfast was good. Overall, very happy with our stay. More

Stayed here for a 1 night stop off down highway 1. Hotel a good spot in the centre of Carmel near the beach. Staff friendly, room clean if a little small, plenty of parking and breakfast good. Would stay again if staying in Carmel. More

This was my second stay in the last 8 months. I like the location, right on Ocean Ave. great for walking to restaurants, shopping and the beach. The staff was helpful and friendly, especially Jim the bellman, who helped with luggage and showed us the room. Room was again very clean. The decor of the hotel is ready for an... More

My wife and I took a surprise trip to beautiful Carmel and stayed the night at the Pine Inn. We're both 28, not much for extreme sports, and love to read. The Pine Inn's breakfast on site, location in the middle of shopping and the beach, and amazing lobby with a fireplace was exactly what we were looking for. The... More

I booked this based on tripadvisor reviews. This hotel has a special style from the 1940's that is cute. The two flights of stairs to a small room were less than appealing. The front desk staff on check-in on Friday night was slow and seemed a little annoyed at being bothered with the check-in. The check-out staff was very friendly... More

A great old slice of Carmel. Vito was wonderful, getting us a King room with an ocean view just as the sun was going down. Large room and very comfortable, and he gave us a discounted rate (we didn't have reservations). He also suggested Dametra's restaurant which was outstanding (separate review). The bed was very comfortable, the windows opened so... More

My husband and I spent a wonderful time in Carmel and the Inn was the perfect place to reunion with college friends. We had a gorgeous room, much bigger and more elegant than expected. It was also extremely convenient but, at the same time, in a very peaceful part of the town. We also found the front desk very attentive... More
