This is a small hotel with all the amenities of a larger venue. The well appointed rooms open onto a quite inner courtyard, perfect for relaxing in the late afternoon. Its location is ideal for exploring Carmel and the areas nearby. All of he staff are exceedingly helpful and professional. One highlight is the restaurant and its tasting menu, which... More

Absolute luxury and class.. Worth every penny...a testament to the expression"you get what you pay for."..I chose a queen room and was afraid that it might be small...not at all..We will return and as I've told everyone if you stay in Carmel it's L'Auberge Carmel. Thanks for a great stay. More

Tight quarters and strange parking arrangements, but staff is accommodating, service-oriented, we thoroughly enjoyed the dinner at Aubergine--better than The Restaurant at The Meadowood! More

I had the pleasure of spending one night at L'Auberge Carmel and only wish I had many more nights. It was the perfect base to explore Carmel on foot. Close to the shops and the stunning beach which is so glorious no picture could do it justice. Easy access to the best restaurants, the most famous of which is on... More

From the moment we arrived the staff went above and beyond to exceed our expectations. The breakfast was wonderful and the nightly turn down service with special treats was perfect. Very special experience. Well worth every penny. More

We felt welcome from the moment we drove up to the front of the hotel. The doorman/bell, front office agent (Liz), restaurant staff were all very eager to help. They were very accommodating towards our two little kids as well. Great location in down town near the beach. Love the bathroom size. More

I planned a relaxing girls spa weekend and, having never stayed at a B&B other than Cypress Inn in Carmel, I was skeptical to book elsewhere. Thankfully, my intuition took us to L'Auberge Carmel and there's no question that we'll be back. From check in to check out, the service at the B&B is unmatched. We were even offered a... More

Quite a lovely place with a delightful staff. The accommodations are quiet and spacious. Little touches such as a bathroom floor that is heated, cookies at night, and morning breakfast on the patio make this a special place. And dont forget to have dinner at their Aubergine restaurant for a culinary thrill. More

This hotel was extremely pleasant to stay in for one night. The staff is very professional and courteous and the rooms, grounds and common areas are impeccably decorated and inviting. I have yet to have blueberry preserves as good as the ones served as part of the complimentary breakfast. Additionally, everything is included in the price of the room and... More
