We took a family trip to the San Diego area to visit a relative for his 60th birthday. We chose El Primero because of its proximity to their home and free breakfast. It was a great experience. The owners could not have been nicer or more accommodating. It was very secure and comfortable. Would definitely stay there again!

We stayed here for Comic Con. Whilst it was a little out of the way the value and excellent service made up for the trip into the city daily. The breakfast was superb and the owners were friendly and welcoming hosts. I've recommended this hotel to various friends who have also stayed here.

I was so happy to return to this charming hotel to work in the area for a few days. The owner is so very friendly and makes you feel right at home. It was quiet and the room well appointed. There are many restaurants for dinner just a short walk from the hotel. An ideal place to stay.

2nd Year here and Santa can not have a better place to stay!!! I know why they get so many 4 & 5 stars!! The owners treat you more like family than a customer, they provide fresh fruit grown in their own orchards, very tasty breakfast!! So this Santa has them on his very nice list!!!!
