Having stayed at the Ritz Carlton in Toronto 2 weeks before, the Ritz in Half Moon Bay was shabby and slightly run down in comparison. Location is great, overlooking the sea. My room was nice enough - not fantastic. Bed was very soft, which I don't particularly like. Would I dash back here? No, unlikely.

Staying at the resort was such a treat. Rooms are elegant, quite and clean. The view from the property is stunning. This was one of the finest hotels I've stayed in (and I am a frequent traveler). From check-in to checkout, I was treated as an honored guest. Everything I needed was provided. The hotel itself is beautiful, with excellent amenities and a caring staff. I couldn't be happier with my experience.

Very nice location along cliffs just south of the town of Half Moon Bay. The service is very good. Check in could use a bit more staff during the busy times but they do have a nice can do attitude at the front desk. The common areas are a bit small but are adequate. The gym is open 24 hours... I got the romance package for $790 for a night. Way too much money. Just get their cheapest room. The hotel is very nice. Service was great. The room was fine. The beach/cliffs were cool.
