What a delight! Beautiful, quiet setting. Spent the morning in Anzo-Borrega desert state park, so going from 101 degree heat to the cool mountain air was a real treat. Stayed in the Rose Cottage. Dawn and Ed think of everything. Comfortable and clean. AMAZING breakfasts. Easy couple minute drive into Julian.

We drove into Julian and decided to stay for the night. The owners of the Butterfield B&B welcomed us and made our impromptu weekend getaway wonderful. Our meal was perfect as was our room. We enjoyed being conveniently located to great restaurants and night life. We will definitely return to the Butterfield next time we go to Julian.

Arranged a stay for our anniversary. Loved the cottage on the hilltop with the pot bellied stove. The staff accommodated our special diet needs as well as giving special suggestions.The horse drawn carriage ride into town for dinner was wonderful and the grounds with the flowers everywhere were beautiful!!!!!
