Although I have walked past this hotel many times, this is the first time I stayed overnight. From the minute we walked into the charming lobby, I knew we were going to enjoy our stay. The room is small, but very charming. With no TV, alarm clock or radio, it was extremely peaceful. One fun touch was the journal kept... More

We stayed in Julian for one weekday night in April 2012. Our room was small and on the ground floor. The wifi didn't work in our room so that wasn't satisfactory as we were trying to book rooms in other places for our ongoing trip. Julian was like a ghost town when we ventured out at 7.30pm. There was nowhere... More

Nice clean, relaxing place to stay. The staff was friendly and accommodating. When we arrived many of the guests were having tea, wine and cookies. Everyone was friendly and we made many instant friends who's company we enjoyed all through the weekend. The bedroom was a bit small but really all we needed, the bathroom was good sized and very... We loved the place for its charm and authenticity. They have lots of books, games, and puzzles in their cozy main room and the staff is pleasant. Our first night was a disappointment since the bed was lopsided and the WI-fi didn't work in the room. They moved us the next morning and explained the bed was new but they... More

We are pleased to hear you enjoyed your stay. Unfortunately to both of our disappointments you had some concerns. We wanted to advise you and others the we replaced the bed. The WIFI problem has been resolved. Guests can access it throughout the hotel property. In addition we are more than happy to make adjustments or add to our breakfast... More

Stayed here in November 2010 for Thanksgiving. Was everything I hoped it would be. Small time period rooms, awesome breakfast and wonderful afternoon tea time! The staff is very friendly. We enjoyed this place so much my friends, family and I have returned many times to relax. We loved it so much we had our vow renewal ceremony here, in... More

Travelling west from the Salton Sea in the dark we were despairing of finding accommodation, when we came upon Julian. The old B&B inn on the main street was great, with a fire burning away making it nice and cosy (at 4000 feet). The bedroom was nice, but too small (our only criticism). Breakfast was a real treat, with specials... More

Mid week special was $95 for an upstairs room that included a full breakfast. Rooms in this range are very small, some do not have access to both sides of the queen bed. Kim let us look at the rooms and choose. No place to put two suitcases, though there was a rack for one. Bed was comfortable..no nightstand, no... More

This is a bit of a mixed review due to my husband having some negative comments. I thought the the room decore to be charming and quaint to match the history of the hotel. I was prepared ahead of time for the size of the rooms to be small but adequate. My husband thought the room smelled "old" and we... More

We love this hotel. Decorated with period pieces, first floor rooms are a little larger than upstairs but all equally charmin. The people that run the hotel are not very friendly, and if you stay here make sure you are on time for breakfast 5 mins late and you will not be served. Also there are no TVs in the... More

My fiance and I were looking for a one night stay in Julian. We went during Oktoberfest (not because we went to Oktoberfest)I had read other reviews and was ready for any issues. I enjoyed the fact the hotel is right on Main Street. They give you a key to enter in and out, and it made me feel a... More
