My aunt was currently living in Pasadena,Ca and insisted to see Dr. Anderson in Morro Bay.She told me also that we need to stay at Breaker's motel. that turned out to be a great idea.I checked in on a Thursday night asking for a room with 2 beds.Finding out my aunt had to go in for emergency surgery the next... I have stayed here before but only on the first floor. This time I stayed on the second floor. Nice view. Quiet enough that you could hear the seals in the harbor. A bit of fiddling with the lock on the sliding door but once it was mastered it was ok. Typical older motel but things were clean and worked... More

I was thoroughly pleased with this charming older 70's classic motel. It was clean, comfortable and the additional freestanding sink and vanity outside the bathroom is a great idea. We really enjoyed the chiminea style fireplace that is only available on the 3rd floor. The location just above the center of the Embarcadero was perfect and within walking distance. The... More

The sliding glass door had a difficult lock to open and close. Management showed me how, however, many times I couldn't open the door by myself. Management said it was "tricky". I was with others who stayed in different rooms. They were having lock problems too, but not as much as I was. Some of them could not open or... More

Preordered the room at Internet, because it looked good at the website. Should have checked tripadvisor first. The first we noticed was the smell of mold when we opened the door. Around the windows we could also see it. On the telephone was a thick layer of dust... The mirror, hair dryer and sink is in the kitchen and not... More

Morro Bay is good place to stop off on your way to San Francisco, or to spend a few days. It has a wonderful wharf area with shops and restaurants, and a darling town with antique shops. The Breakers Motel is a block from the wharf with a fantastic view of Morro Rock, and a few blocks from the center... More

We were heading towards Los Angeles from San Francisco and decided to take an overnight break somewhere halfway. I booked it the day before we should arrive, the price was okay, and I actually did not expect so much. The room we had were fine for 1 night and the pool was great. The only thing is that you can... We were at the Breakers with a large group that took over most of the motel and we got pretty much what I expected for an old beach motel. We were lucky and got a second floor room with a King bed and a perfect view of Morro Rock. Most other room has an obstructed view of the rock or... More
