We spent just one day in Morro Bay and did not want to go to an extravagant hotel. A nice room with a view at a reasonable price is what we wanted. Breakers Motel fit the bill. It was a Monday and the hotel was pretty quiet when we arrived. Asked for a got a room on the third floor... More

We were a bit disappointed not to get a room with a view, but that doesnt stop this hotel from being about as close as you can get to all that Morro has to offer. It is a wonderful place to stop along the coast and watch the harbour seals and sea otters. Sun set is stunning as it disappears... More

The Breakers is conveniently located at the top of the Centennial Stairs that connect Embarcadero to Morro Bay Dr. Views from the 2nd and 3rd floor of Morro Rock are fantastic. There are a few benches on the balcony, and the determined can wheel a chair out. It is an easy walk to shopping, restaurants, kayaks, boat tours, and parking... More

Stayed March 8/9. Stayed here as a kid, now 40 years later it is still in a great location, but has really deteriorated. Carpets in room 206 were not wall to wall.(shrunk and pulled away) Wall plugs were 2 prong, so if you had no adaptor you could not charge computer. Room keys are still KEYS. Pillows like ROCKS. We just came back from a road trip and stopped for a night in Morro Bay. The Breakers is one of many motels, Inns, Hotels in Morro Bay; there are lots of choices. We did pick the Breakers because of the price and location which is a block off the main street up high enough to have a beautiful view... More

The room was outdated but pretty clean. The bathroom was clean but also outdated. It did have a microwave and small refrigerator but the only reason to stay there was for the view of "the rock". Location was great for walking to all the shops too. The town of Morro Bay charges 13% additional tax so be prepared to pay... More

We stayed for one night on a trip down the coast. The amenities were above average compared to most motels I have stayed in. Rooms were large, clean. Beds were comfortable. Rooms had shower room as well as an additonal sink in the dressing area (handy for 2 girls!). Also had microwave, fridge and coffee maker in rooms. The breakfast... More

we stayed on the third floor which had a great view of Morro Rock. The room had a fireplace which made it cozy at night. Nice sunset from the balcony entrance to the room. I booked, online from their website, a room on the third floor with a fire place. Children are not allowed on the third floor. We do appologize that this happend to you and I understand your frustration. There was a error when we booked your room and we are very sorry. The room was not discounted because we had the same rates on line for both rooms so they had already been discounted. Unfortunatly sometimes things like this do happen and we were very... More
