This hotel is nice looking but really expensive. Rooms are old fashioned and the bed is really uncomfortable (mattress was really old that I even hurt my back). Bathroom is tiny. No fridge or mini-bar in the room. The main problem: really noisy as is next to railway. The problem is that there are not good hotels near Stanford University. More

I live on the road. I spend about 120-150 nights in hotels of varying qualities around the world each year. I have had fantastic service--often at places I frequent and bring significant business too--and mediocre service, even at supposedly stellar establishments. I have NEVER written a review before, but felt compelled to, based on a truly extraordinary experience at the... More

The first thing you notice about this hotel is the beautiful grounds with koi ponds and wooden bridges throughout. The rooms are spacious, but dated, with stained carpets that give the overall impression of not being very clean. The room service food is not very good, but very expensive - I don't recommend it. If you are here to party,... More

I stayed here over the weekend. I have to say the room's were spot on. Nice bed, beautiful bathroom, well decorated. I ended up having to work most of the time so I was using the internet available over the cat 5 cable they have setup. I have to say it was expensive and slow. It's suitable for surfing the... More

I can't say enough good things about this hotel. It exceeded our expectations in every way. Great location, large rooms, friendly service, well-manicured grounds. Loved it and will be back. More

I have stayed here from May 8th to May 11th. The hotel itself is fine--clean, comfortable rooms. The guest services receptionist (specifically Ana) is absolutely incompetent. Every morning they screwed up my breakfast. Since I travel for my work a lot, I understand how important it is to be VERY CLEAR with staff. I explicitly asked for breakfast at 8am,... More

Stayed here for a long weekend with some friends. Location is excellent, within a stones throw of Stanford and easy walking to all of University Ave. The Caltrain station is right next door. Rooms were fine, clean and tidy but average for a Sheraton, maybe just a tad dated. The hotel itself is spread out like a 4-story motel, with... More

The hotel is a short walk from Campus. it has a nice pool and the rooms are OK (nothing spectacular, but conviniently furnished) but starting to show some wear... Had issues with the TV thoughout my stay, but otherwise, the hotel was a good choice. More

The one thing I consider essential when traveling on business is a good Internet connection, preferably free. When I have to pay $9.95 a day for lousy--really lousy--service, I'm annoyed. The Sheraton is a decent hotel with nice rooms, comfortable armchairs, a pleasant outdoor pool, and pretty good restaurants, but the poor Internet connection makes it unacceptable. The signal strength... More
