We stayed here for 2 weekend nights & really liked this place. Nothing fancy, but we didn't spend much time in the room. It had everything you needed - decent beds, great bathtub/shower combo with grabbing bar, nice toiletries, a mini refrigerator, good wifi, flat screen TV with many cable stations, friendly desk staff, plenty of parking and an adequate...

This is a great location for visiting the northern reaches of LA. Even though the motor hotel is located right on Colorado Blvd., we heard not a sound. Granted we were in the back, but the way the bldg. is situated, it seems very quiet. The desk clerks are super. Everyone helped me locate a friend whose no. was not...

I have been staying here for years. The staff is very friendly. However, the rooms are getting a little tired looking. But at $69 a night, which is what we payed -- it's still a good value for its location. The bed was fairly comfortable, but the linens are DEFINITELY due for replacement. Actually, the whole place could use a...

This is a great little old-style American motel, just a short drive from the centre of Pasadena. The owners were super friendly and always happy to help. Decent prices and comfortable, clean rooms make this a good option.

Located on Old Route 66, the Saga Motor Hotel is a gem of a place to stay, and it's right in the heart of Pasadena -- just a few blocks from Old Town and less than a block away from a Starbucks, a great old record store, and restaurants (Luigi Ortega's was YUM YUM -- highly recommend). It's also directly...

I decided to give the Saga a chance because I get a bit tired of the chain hotels that have no character whatsoever. This place definitely has character - in a good way! It reminds me of a roadside hotel from the '50s or '60s and it was perfectly lovely.
My initial view of the Saga came at midnight, thanks...

The Saga Motor Hotel can feel like taking a step back in time. The postwar decorum of the buildings has been upgraded with modern amenities in the rooms. I didn't have time to test the swimming pool but it sure looks great! Breakfast is served in the lobby area, and the receptionist was very helpful in providing dinner suggestions.

In these days of virtually indistinguishable motels/hotels, Saga Motor Hotel stood out for us. We stayed there one night, didn't get to use the pool as the weather was a little cool, but enjoyed the ambience. Small place; there might be some longer-term tenants as well at units in the back. Very well taken care of, clearly owners care a...

We've stayed at this motor hotel many times because we have a relative who lives nearby in a very small house. Saga is a great choice for us. No, it's not fancy motel but it has all the basics and it's very reasonable and is well-managed. The staff is friendly but business-like and efficient. Lighting at night is good. Coffee...
