Basic hotel that was clean with a comfortable bed. The Hotel advertises as a B & B however this is not correct. There is a good cafe in Main street which is a two minute walk from the Hotel.

Property has much potential. Nice old hotel with offices and stores downstairs and rooms up stairs. Advertises with disclaimer it is a B&B. BIG nope!!! There is a real nice resturant across the street but none connected with the hotel due to not enough business in town. Possibility of one in the downstairs portion but I do not see it...

If you like antiques and well kept old things you will like this hotel. It's jammed packed with antiques throughout, all of which are for sale. Staying here felt like being in a grand mansion. It's location is central to all parts of town and is situated on a several mile long walking trail. Management is responsive to your needs....

Ok. After reading the other reviews of Hotel Burgess I have to ask: "what are you doing in Reedley in the fist place?" Owner is a low-life who shouldn't even be in the hotel business. Completely bait and switch. No breakfast to order as advertised (a muffin and coffee in lobby is not breakfast to order, so much for one of the "b"s.
No internet. TV worked so poorly you couldn't even watch it. Kept scrambling because the satelite wasn't working properly. The...

Another person in our group...

The old hotel is unique, decorated in antiques and ungraded with all the modern amenities. Samantha, the manager, truly treats you as a guest of the hotel. She can't do enough to make your stay pleasant. The town, even though economically depressed, there are many antique and thrift shops. The local eatery features daily specials and served some of the best comfort...

My husband and I wanted a place to stay while we were traveling to Sequoia National Park. What a mistake! I had several conversations with the manager who assured me that we would get breakfast with the rate he gave us and that we were half an hour from. Only after reaching there did we realize that it is out...
