I have stayed at the Vizcaya B&B during business for many years. It recently has been put under new ownership and the changes that they are making have definitely made each stay more enjoyable than the prior years when mother and daughter owned. The staff is friendly and very helpful. Once a young man even took me on a "property... More

The staff at Vizcaya are what make this a worthwhile stay. They were friendly and accommodating. Nice neighborhood in close walking distance to amenities. The carpeting throughout could use replacement but otherwise, it was very clean and the bed comfortable. I would stay again without hesitation. More

The Vizcaya B&B in Sacramento is great for a quick trip. Close access to the freeway, grocery store, downtown. We've stayed there a couple of times on our way from Yosemite. It could use some upgrading, but is just fine. Bed is comfortable, breakfast is good and its quiet. However, we haven't stayed there when a wedding is going on More

The Vizcaya is romantic B&B with a very attentive and friendly staff. We stayed two nights, the first night in the "penthouse suite" and the second night in carriage house 1. The penthouse was an amazing room, 900 square feet with a beautiful bathroom and comfortable bed. The only downside was the hot water situation. We ran out of hot... More

My family and I stayed at Vizcaya last night. We rented the "penthouse," the 900-sq ft attic, with two queen-size beds and two overstuffed pink sofas. The bathroom was nicely renovated in black marble and contains a huge jacuzzi tub which we did not use. It takes the hot water quite a while to reach the third floor in this... More

My wife and I stayed here last weekend in Carriage House 1 since the mansion is undergoing heavy-duty renovation. Be prepared to park on the street. There was no front desk, and you have to guess at which building is where the front desk should be. The staff are very nice, but management is clearly absent. No continental breakfast, instead... My husband and I decided to stay at the Vizcaya after staying in other crappy motels in Sacramento for around the same price. Why not stay in a mansion instead? The mansion is a bit outdated, but I was expecting that. Anybody complaining about it being old shouldn't be there in the first place. I enjoy historic places. I did... More

We occupied several rooms at Vizcaya Mansion for business and it was a very pleasant experience. There are issues, lack of parking is unfortunate and it would be nice to have an elevator since we're usually loaded down with trade show stuff in addition to our personal items. All in all though, Dennis took very nice care to make sure... More

Stayed for 3 nights for a wedding that was at this location. The wedding facilities and grounds were good and well kept. However, the mansion was VERY outdated, poorly maintained and managed. The carpet is old and dirty. THere is paint chipping on the inside and outside of rooms and bulidings. THere is wood rot around the buliding. Sharing a... More

I researched sacramento for my hubby and my 25th anniversary. We love old town sacramento so we took Amtrak and used public transportation for four days and three nights. We stayed at the Vizcaya. While they do need to replace carpet, the rest of our stay was so cool! I love old houses so I enjoyed the atmosphere. The pavillion... More
