Had a lovely Easter weekend here. Hotel is very relaxed, pool area is great overlooking the beach. You can park up for the weekend and walk, cycle or take a bus everywhere. Rooms and bedding are quite tired, and the lack of air conditioning would make it uncomfortable in summer.. But we felt the location, pool area and overall feel... More

Cabrillo Inn is surrounded by expensive and elegant hotels, and we got a very fine room for $139.00 a night. The room even had a lovely little garden court. The manager there is such a nice man and himself has done quite a bit to make sure that the motel functions well. Well, yes, the so called "continental breakfast" of... More

You'd think that in order to stay in Santa Barbara, you'd have to pay an arm and leg, or at the very least, stay at a real dive. Not so with the Cabrillo Inn. It is right on Cabrillo Boulevard, which runs along the Pacific Ocean. There's a nice walking/bike path right across the street, and you can walk all... More

Thank you for your recent stay and favorable review. We are pleased you enjoyed your stay and your comments will be communicated to all of our staff. Yes our location is hard to beat especially with the spectacular ocean and Channel Island views from beautiful "East Beach" Our continental breakfast currently does not have fruit but we may consider it... Excellent location. Rooms were clean and comfortable, but the decor was nothing special. Front desk folks were very helpful. Continental breakfast was nice, but I would have liked more than a smorgasbord of pastries. Couldn't beat the view from my room. More

Thank you for your recent stay with us. Yes we do have a special "East Beach" oceanfront location. East Beach is known for its pristine white sandy beaches as the city grooms the beach and keeps the sand clean and soft. We do have remodel plans to upgrade our interiors. Our continental breakfast serves other items such as Ham and... More

The room was quite, but the beds were hard. I have bursitis and need a softer bed. The price of the room was expensive. I'd find another cheaper hotel to stay if I were to go to Santa Barbara again. More

Thank you for your recent stay and comments. Our beds are from a reputable commercial hospitality company and yes they can be firmer than a residential type especially if you were in a room with two queen beds. We have remodel plans in the works and will address your issue when we purchase new king and queen beds that can... More

This place is a gem. The low price gave me some concerns but what we found was a clean, lovely room where we could lie on our bed and look straight across Cabrillo Blvd. to the Pacific Ocean. What a delight! If you are put off by gently used furniture I would recommend you stay elsewhere. But if you want... More

Thank you for your recent stay and your kind words. Our room rates create value as our Inn has been owned and operated by the same family since 1976 and with our financial low debt condition from many years of being the same owner, allows us to keep our rates at a surprisingly affordable level. As the Los Angeles Times... More

Our quiet room (with comfortable beds) had a spectacular view of the Pacific, Palm trees and the Channel Islands in the dusk. The jalapeño croissant at breakfast set me on fire for the remainder of the day. My wife enjoyed the Quiche.  More

I will admit that I was a bit worried about this motel when we drove up at 10 pm but RYAN at the front desk was wonderful! He upgraded us to an oceanview room and was so very helpful and friendly about giving us local advice. We walked to our room and, admittedly, it appears old but definitely not rundown.... More

Thank you for your recent stay with us and your review. Our 39 room Inn has only 1 room that you cannot see the ocean from your window. You were scheduled to be a partial ocean view room but since you arrived 1 hour before we closed our office, Ryan upgraded you to a full ocean view room. This is... More

This hotel is in a great location across from East Beach and has a very friendly and helpful. Staff. The front desk folks were always willing to help with directions to local restaurants and attractions. The morning continental breakfast had a good variety of pastries, coffee and juice. The only downside I see to the property involve the room amenities.... More

Thank you for your recent stay and comments. Yes our Oceanfront location at Santa Barbara's beautiful "East Beach" cannot be matched. Our staff always strives to make each guest's stay as comfortable and informative as possible. The Cabrillo Inn at the Beach was built in 2 stages and was completed in the early 1950's under another name called the Ming... More

Once again I had a wonderful stay over New Years. I hope they don't change the look of the decor or property. I would so much rather they keep the prices the same. I like the nostalgia of the country decor and real key. We were surprised by the sheets being top notch like in the finer hotels. The bed... More

Thank you for your recent stay and kind comments. Yes, we have plans to do some major exterior and interior remodeling and upgrades in the near future. No, we have no plans on changing our current "value oceanfront pricing" as compared to the larger neighboring hotels. We will always strive to maintain our "Best Oceanfront" value since our family started... More
