You get what you pay for and you don't pay much to stay at this hotel. Breakfast consists of cereal (sugared), boring pastries, and white bread. Sometimes, if a visiting athletic team is staying at the hotel, they will serve eggs. The decor is 1950's dark wood. We couldn't get cold water out of the cold water faucet. Even the... More

Typical discount hotel, I'm guessing this one was bought out by Choice Hotels. Seems to have originally been built with some sort of Rustic World Traveler theme.. "Broker".. overall a good value considering Hotel prices these days... however... my complaints are as follows... first there is no window that opens in the room.. I like fresh air, so this kinda... Was somewhat skeptical after reading reviews but went for it anyway. Expected a somewhat worn place but found a real gem. It is a wonderful place, built in the 1970's, but in the style of the early 1900's. The ambiance was most pleasing with it's authentic details, said to be removed from elegant Chicago residences; nothing artificial here! If you... More

After a conference in Denver, I stayed in Boulder a few extra days to do some hiking. I stayed in this hotel for the same reason in March 2010, and I returned to it for its convenience. From my room, I could easily walk to a pizza joint and a beer store - just about all a hiker needs! The... More

After reading a few ridiculous criticisms on TA we ignored the whiners and came anyway. Actually we might have come b.c. of the bad reviews. This is a wonderful, historic hotel in a perfect location and an excellent value. Where others claimed the place needed "updated decor" we discovered antiques and unique furniture imported from Europe! Our room was large,... More

Only stayed here because of softball tournament. The first year it was in somewhat sad shape, with plumbing and A/C issues in some of the rooms. Not the end of the world. This year it had become more tattered, and I couldn't figure out why they would let it go downhill like that. Being an early riser, I was out... More

We liked the convenient location, although difficult to locate initially, and we liked the price. We had pretty low expectations and this hotel met those. It was relatively "clean" but in desperate need of repair and an update in its decor. The guy at the desk was very efficient and helpful. The breakfast was okay but it was FREE. We... More

Were do I start. Every each of the property is filthy. Rooms are not cleaned properly, if at all (witnessed by spider webs). Bathrooms are downright scary. Tub flogged, faucet malfunctioning, toilet seat broken. I appears they have just quit trying. Though I don't think they ever tried hard to begin with. This could actually be a cool place if... More

Positives The hotel is convenient to the freshman dorm, boulder bike paths, (is there anyplace in Boulder that is not convenient to bike paths?), the University, the 29th st mall. It had a serviceable pool and served breakfast. Room was fine. It had free and easy internet - a plus. Negatives. breakfast lacked excitement. (Boulder is supposed to be a... More

The hotel is listed with a different name on most travel sites; something like the Broker Inn. Your only clue is a small sign outside the hotel. To see that, you have to find it! So it is difficult to find except by a process of elimination withe the address. I booked [and prepaid for] this hotel for my sister... More
