This may be a five star motel in India but it is not acceptable to even the most foregiving US- born traveler. Poorly maintained, no in-room coffee, no promised continental breakfast, flat screen TV but no reception, smelly, dark, etc. I should have known better when I noticed the main sign for the motel was burnt out. Old style heaters... More

No only did the room smell like urine and have flies everywhere, I was ripped off. The desk clerk told me the credit card machine was not working (after I handed him my card), so the only other way I could pay was cash. It was the only place in town with a room, it was late, he failed to... More

While Sloans used to have as good reputation it shouldn't now. Based on what I'd read I decided to stay there on a few different trips. I stayed in at least 3 rooms on different dates. The rooms were deplorable at best. Dirty, old, tired is the best I can describe them. Pieced together with cheap unprofessional repairs. There are... More

This is an older hotel and definitely doesn't look like much from the outside. The staff was friendly and helpful. We even arrived late. The room did not smell funky or like smoke or generally old. The room was very clean and the bathroom was large and newish. The bed was a little firmer than I like, but I still... More

In this small High Plains town, there are 2 motels with similar names. This one, called "Best Value Inn" on Trip Advisor, is better known as "Sloan's Motel" (that's what their sign says). At least one of the other reviews here appears to be describing another place since it looked to me that all of Sloans' rooms are accessed from... More

This hotel was way over priced for what you got. Total cost with tax was $90.38 for one night and that was with a 10% discount. We were traveling I-70 and it was late at night and very few hotels to choose from. I think they take advantage of that. I don't think it was worth more than $50-$60 tops... More

We stayed at this motel during a road trip. It was in a great location near restaurants and a grocery store. We had a large room with 3 queen beds. The room was very clean. My only complaints were that the towels were small and thin and there were dispensers in the shower for shower gel and shampoo that were... More

I've been staying at Sloan's Motel whenever I pass through Burlington, Colorado since 1986. From 1992-1996 I attended college in Kansas, and Burlington was usually my second night stop (I was driving from Seattle) on the way to school from summer/christmas/spring vacation. While ownership has changed - it's now part of a Best Value Inns - the mission of the... More
