I have often stayed at this place when doing an overnight in Denver. The place is old and it has a long term guest policy. The long term guests are mixed bag. You can meet some cool travelers from other parts of the country, or transient, state welfare people who are on some half-way house transition. The hostel is right... More

Spent about a week there when I showed up in Denver looking for a job. I was just a kid. No shortage of street kids in Denver, but I had enough for a private room. The place downstairs back then was a laundromat. The guy who owned it was a former astronaut, great guy who heard I was lookin for... More

Terrible, terrible, terrible. The worst part of this crapnest is the crabby, dishonest bald guy at the front desk. He was completely worthless and not a pleasure to deal with. I'm guessing he is a non-Colorado native. The lodging is disgusting, old, and stinks. There are live-in, nontraveler tenants that steal whenever possible. If something gets stolen, baldilocks at the... More

Dirty, bad staff, bad area, horrible bathroom and unwelcoming vibe. Stay away everyone.

I stayed at this hotel for one night as I was passing through Denver. The location was pretty good considering the price. I think it was a 6 block walk to the heart of downtown and shopping. That was handy, also in the other direction I was able to find a Safeway about 6 blocks away. The room was average,... More

I stayed in a single room two nights at the hostel, the owners where kind and helpful. They held my bags during the day even after my room was vacant. Friendly staff, clean rooms, bathrooms could be better.

Booked a private room and double-checked booking by email several days before I arrived. When I arrived, they claimed to have no record of my booking (after making me wait for 30 minutes to deal with their cafe customers) and offered me a space in the dorm. The dorm looked average for a hostel, but was horribly overcrowded and full... More

I've stayed at cheap hostels both here in the US and in Europe, never really had any issues. Got here today to find nobody in the office waited around for about 10 minutes a guy walked in and ask me to wait while he was on the phone. Finally got attention. They only take cash. So I return later with... More

I got the feeling that this place is for people that have no where else to go. Many of the long-term tenants are drug addicts or have mental illness. This would be tolerable because I visited Denver to see the sights - not hang around the hostel, but there is a long-term tenant in the woman's dorm that continually talks... More

I stayed at this dump for two nights before I stayed at my friend's hotel. It is disgusting inside. People smoked inside. The hotplate didn't work. The rooms are ugly. The hallways are dingy. This is easily the worst place that I have ever stayed. The neighbourhood outside wasn't great, but it wasn't terrible - being from Vancouver, I've certainly... More
