Adequate but old hotel in a good location in downtown Denver but the room was small and noisy. with no bottled water provided which was disappointing The fitness center was well equipped at least. Probably was not the best use of a free night award.

Hotel's Favourite
The hotel has improved since my last stay. The hotel room was clean and the staff was courteous. I had a king size city view room and it was a nice room. While I had concerns about staying here again, it was a vast improvement over my last stay in September. Jorge was great at the front desk.

Staff were extremely helpful, pleasant, and courteous! Shawna is one of a kind and so knowledgeable. Luke with valet parking was very quick and eager to help! Everything was very simple to check in and out and to get our car from Valet. Great location!

Came to town for an Avalanche game. I enjoyed our stay at Holoday Inn and absolutely loved our experience. The valet was wonderful, and our room was clean with no issues. The service desk was very helpful with information. We will definitely look at staying again in any of our future travels back to Denver.

Recently stayed at the Holiday Inn Express Downtown and used the valet parking. Somehow made a huge mistake and took the car without getting the key and drove half hour away for a wedding. Josh from the valet team, was a huge hero, and personally drove the key to me!

Had a fantastic stay at the holiday inn in downtown Denver. Staff fully available and catering to my every need. Nice room with a mountain view as well. The whole experience was improved by the front desk manager Ryan- who’s professionalism and customer care is outstanding.

We booked Holiday Inn Express for a weekend getaway, we then learned that the weather would be dangerously cold and decided to cancel and go another time. We cancelled 3 days before our arrival, have the cancellation number and email but no one at this hotel has the manners or knowledge to get us our refund. The first time I called the front desk woman said “I see that you cancelled in time but you didn’t call the hotel directly so that’s a no show fee”. She was so rude but I kept my cool and calmly asked why I couldn’t cancel a reservation on their website the same way I made it? She said “if you want to try to get your money back, you’ll have to call after 10 am when a manager is here” I called at 2:45 and they admitted they could see that I canceled in time but then proceeded to put me on hold, finally someone came back and asked for a reservation number and again, “brief hold please” 20 minutes later the call times out and goes to the hotel 800 number so I tell my story all over. He was at least attentive and said he would call the hotel on my behalf. He called back later and said he thinks the manager is willing to “take the hit” and refund my money because there’s no way I could have made up that cancellation number. I told him there’s no hit to take, it’s your cancellation policy and I took the hit because your hotel didn’t follow its own policy. He said he understood he was just relaying the message and he hoped my credit would be returned in 10 business days. Save yourselves folks!

My recent stay at Holiday Inn Express, located at 1715 Tremont Place, Denver, CO 80202, was nothing short of a nightmare. My partner and I chose this hotel for a convenient stay after attending a concert, but the experience turned out to be far from pleasant. Upon returning to the hotel at 10 pm, we were greeted by a stifling 85-degree room. Despite our best efforts to adjust the thermostat for over 45 minutes, it remained unresponsive. The sign above the thermostat falsely claimed it could take up to 10 minutes to kick on, adding to our frustration. In desperation, we called the front desk for assistance, only to be informed that the temperature control was centralized and required an engineer to adjust it. Another agonizing 45 minutes passed before the engineer arrived, offering no solution but a mere fan. Realizing the futility of the situation, we decided we could not endure another minute in such unbearable heat. As we were leaving the room, the engineer knocked on our door with a fan in tow. I politely declined the inadequate gesture and proceeded to the front desk to check out, hoping for a more understanding response. To our astonishment, the clerk at the front desk not only displayed a complete lack of empathy but also shared inappropriate information about other guests being allegedly high on crack. This shocking revelation left us bewildered and uncomfortable. Seeking a resolution, I requested a room with a tolerable temperature or a prompt checkout. Unfortunately, the clerk offered no solution and adamantly refused to refund us for the uncomfortable and unsatisfactory stay. This lack of customer service and disregard for guest comfort is unacceptable. To make matters worse, the entire experience forced us to endure a long drive home, not reaching our destination until 3 am. The overall lack of professionalism, inadequate facilities, and poor customer service make me strongly advise against choosing Holiday Inn Express at 1715 Tremont Place for anyone seeking a comfortable and enjoyable stay. This hotel failed to meet even the most basic expectations, and I am thoroughly disappointed with the entire ordeal.

I would give this crime infested, employee-scamming "hotel' ZERO stars if I could. It's a good location if you want to be near downtown. Everything else is TERRIBLE!!! Read all the other recent reviews, please!!!! One elevator was broken for three days so I routinely had to walk 9 flights of stairs down to the ground floor. In the stairwell, I saw multiple used syringes, urine, and feces. And one person (homeless) was still asleep in the stairwell one morning. So much for "security". The room itself was full of dingy and old furniture, mold in the shower, faucets that drip, toilet that only partially flushes, smelled of smoke and vomit, and the ROOM WAS COLD AT ALL TIMES!!! The thermostat in the room didn't work because it wasn't connected to the building heating system. Read other reviews and note all of the other RECENT complaints about how ice cold their room was during the chilly winter time. The manager just shrugged and said that it was an old hotel and nothing could be done. I was charged multiple times INCORRECTLY because I booked through a "bogus" third party web site (EXPEDIA for goodness sake!!) that offer daily rates that the hotel said "weren't authorized to be offered so they wouldn't honor the rate!!" Even though my entire reservation was paid in advance, the $50 hold on my credit card REQUITED AT CHECK IN to pay for "incidentals" took over 3 weeks with multiple calls and complaints to be dismissed (from it's pending status) because only the local hotel staff can change/clear credit card charges. The breakfast looked good but all the hot items were immediately taken by the patrons within minutes of being set out. And then it was another 20-30 minutes before the cooks could bring out more, hot food. SHAME ON IHG Group for allowing this cr@ppy hotel to use the name Holiday Inn Express. SHAME ON YOU IHG!

While we were having breakfast, we happened to noticed a housekeeping lobby attendant walking up to the coffee corner with a blue rag, thinking that she was going to clean the area. But no, she placed the blue rag close by the spigot from the hot water dispenser to get some hot water for her rag. She then proceeded to walk to the lobby and continued wiping off the lobby windows and walls with this same rag. I immediately went to the Front Desk and requested to speak to a MOD to report this unsanitary issue as guests are using their cups from this same spigot. I was informed by a female GSR that the MOD was not available at the moment and did not know what time the MOD would be at work. She requested my phone number and informed me that this person will get in touch with me. Being a SR GRM myself and an IHG Rewards Member, it is very dissapointed to learn that no one cared and no one has contacted me about this unsanitary issue.
