Very disappointing customer service for a 4 star downtown hotel. I arrived around 11pm, front desk wasn't busy at all. I parked literally in front of the hotel across the street, checked meter and it said no parking limit or charge till 8am. I came inside and pointed to where my car was (it could be seen from the front desk) and said "It will be fine there till 8am right? No charge? and it's safe?". The front desk person assured me that yes it would be. I went upstairs to drop some stuff on then came back down to grab something from the car and again said "the Car is fine there overnight just to double check?" She said yes fine till 8am and I said great, I'm leaving at 7am. I come out at 7am the next morning and I have a $50 parking ticket. I call and the woman dismisses me, basically saying not her problem, I said do you remember the convo we had last night where you assured me multiple times the Car would be fine? She said yes but I think I also asked if you read the sign, she did not ask that the night before but I see it was her way of letting go of any blame....but even if she had asked that I would have said yes I read the meter....to read anything else would have required me walking to the end of the street to see the sign that said street sweeping on Wednesdays. This is a very permanent sign and street sweeping days almost never change. As a 4 Star hotel downtown you have very little to remember in terms of parking for your location -- knowing WHICH DAY of the week is street sweeping that happens EVERY WEEK ON THE SAME DAY is a very easy and expected thing to know and tell guests. Especially when the guest asks specifically about where her car is on that night. a good 4 star hotel would know this and tell the guest, and any 5 star hotel would. To wipe your hands of this is more like what a 2 star place would do. $50 ticket makes a $150 stay that I specifically searched for much more expensive. I wasn't expecting them to pay the ticket itself but to take $50 off the room or offer $50 in dinining credit or SOMETHING seemed appropriate given our convos . Instead they didn't even apologize, said something was said the night before that wasn't said, and made zero attempt to help.

I found this hotel on tiktok and I loved it. It's like stepping back in time with all the themes on each floor. The TV show friends, Marvel characters, Star wars, and more. The room was really spacious and nice. I loved the bathroom and shower. It was my first time in Denver, and this hotel definitely lived up to its name and location. It's downtown, and they have a parking deck. It was beautiful inside and out. I did not know that since they are a Doubletree hotel, they offer cookies, so this was really cool to find out after I checked in, lol. Front desk staff were super friendly. I will definitely book this hotel again. Close walking distance to food spots. Denver was lit 🔥

I stayed at the Curtis Hotel Denver for one night on a work trip in February. While there was much that was good about my stay, I don’t know if I will return. The good: The staff was wonderful and very responsive on the app. I appreciated the early check-in after a long morning flight. The location was great. I was upgraded due to my Honors status, and the room as large and well-appointed. The bad (and enough to keep me from returning or recommending the hotel: Showers (two of them in less than 24 hours) were lukewarm at best—this was especially upsetting when getting up and ready for a 6:30 am flight. I turned the AC on briefly because the room was stuffy, but then, even though I moved the toggle to the “off” switch, it never turned off—ever—until I crawled on the floor near the base of the unit and had to use a manual switch (I shouldn’t have had to access). I tried to move that switch back manually before leaving, but the AC came back on—still despite the wall control saying that it was off. So I had to use the floor switch again. When I have really short work trips, I expect to be comfortable. While much was good about the staff and room, now having hot water nor working climate control was definitely not comfortable. I expect better from Hilton properties and was disappointed.

From the moment we arrived at this hotel, the disappointment began. There was no valet or assistance in sight as we approached the neglected entrance. The entryway, evidently lacking regular cleaning covered in cigarettes. Led us to a lobby with a bizarre setup – a pool on one side and a DVD screen on the other. The bellman, more engaged with his phone than guests, barely acknowledged our presence. The front desk staff, despite being pleasant, seemed out of place in this setting. After paying a surprisingly high fee for parking, we were greeted by a dingy, sewer-smelling garage. The elevator to the lobby was not only dirty but also painfully slow, opening to reveal a cluttered area where air conditioning units were haphazardly stored. Regrettably, the worst was yet to come. Hallways in dire need of repair led to rooms that were far from the expected standard. They were outdated, poorly maintained, and had visible hair and stains. The level of uncleanliness was so severe that it’s surprising there weren’t any visible infestations. During our stay, we encountered other guests who shared similar grievances. It’s clear that this hotel suffers from a severe lack of maintenance and effective management. The general manager should be deeply concerned about the state of the property. This is not just a disservice to guests but also to the hardworking employees who deserve a better work environment. labeling this hotel as a four-star establishment is a gross misrepresentation. Urgent action is needed from both the maintenance team and the management. In a post-Covid world where cleanliness is paramount, this hotel not only falls short but also feels like a complete rip-off. This was, without a doubt, the most disheartening hotel experience I have ever had. You have to be completely insane to book this property unless you are looking for a cheep room to do drugs. Denver has a lot more property’s to go to. Skip this place!

The Curtis is such a unique and charming hotel that just oozes with character! The designers did a great job curating the artwork. For example, every floor of the hotel has a different theme, mine on the 9th floor was all about HAIR! The elevators are pretty cool too where you are in a gondola or command center. Room: As a Hilton gold member, I was upgraded to a corner king room on a high floor overlooking the performing arts center. The room was pretty spacious, and could've probably fit a full couch. The bathroom has a wide vanity but otherwise nothing extraordinary. Staff: The front desk team is amazing! They are so responsive via texting and all have a cute/funky nickname. Additionally, during check-in the staff genuinely made an effort to have a conversation and offered some very thoughtful suggestions on how to spend my evening. Thank you!

I stayed here due to us having a puppy for a concert in Denver from Breckenridge. My boyfriend left my purse and I didn't realize. The hotel 'lost and found' would not take a call or call us both back. The front desk was unwilling to work with us. Apparently, they 'can't find my purse' without even looking or putting in any effort. Now I've lost cash, all of my wallet information, my ID, without them caring at all. Also, the room was tiny and check in was horrible.

Most people will probably notice the Curtis because of its style and themes. So it goes without saying this hotel has some fun decorative choices. This is the only hotel where my wife and I went to each floor to check out all the themes. This hotel is also in a very convenient location in downtown Denver. So why not 5 stars? Well one of our pillow cases had a stain on it so there's a strike for cleanliness. We only needed 1 pillow each and they gave us 4, so the unsightly pillow just stayed off our bed. The outlet the coffee maker was plugged into wasn't working so we used a working outlet in the bathroom to make our coffee. So a strike for maintenance. Our TV remote didn't have batteries, so the front desk had maintenance rectify that quickly. So our room wasn't prepared but good customer service, so call that even. Everyone at the front desk was quite nice the few times we stopped by. A staff member also contacted us by text to see how our room was so the customer service is a plus. All of these factors put together give this hotel about a 4 out of 5. I don't know if we'd come back to this hotel but I also wouldn't want to discourage anyone interested in trying it out so long as they know what they're in for. Something fun and nice without expecting the best.

The Curtiss is the most whimsical hotel I have ever stayed at! I visited for business and found the hotel to be visually amusing at every turn! Each floor is themed- perfect pair (think "Laurel and Hardy"), superhero, fun and games, laugh out loud, sci-fi, big hair, etc. The hallways are decorated to the extreme (ex. "fun and games" is covered in Pac Man maze). I had a "standard king room" so the decoration was minimal in nature (whimsical art on the walls). The décor was modern in nature, but functional and comfortable. My king room had all essential amenities- flat screen tv, fridge, coffee maker, iron, safe, but no microwave. The sheets and bed were typical comfort level (average firmness mattress), though I prefer my pillows a bit firmer- personal preference. The clock radio provided 2 standard USB slots, 1 noted as a 1.0 AMP, the other 3.1 AMP. There were multiple electrical outlets if you require more (be sure to bring your charging plug accordingly). The bathroom was ample in size, with the shower having solid water pressure. I will note that the hot water does take some time to warm, but once it is hot it is significantly hot (start the shower in advance a few minutes of getting in). Lobby staff were pleasant and accommodating, and offered restaurant recommendations in addition to the attached bar/lounge option (martini bar). The gym facility looked attractive and was amply fitted. Sadly, but understandably there is no on-site swimming pool. Food served to function attendees was very high quality by hotel standards- the beef was outstanding, chicken was moist and tender- not over baked at all, and not "reheated, pre-cooked", vegetable options were fresh tasting and not cooked to death, pasta was also not overdone though I wished there had been more sauce. Pastry/cream puffs were addictive and I could have easily eaten the entire platter with a pot of coffee! Service staff was polite, professional, and quick to serve! Overall, it is the visually fun kitche of the hotel and the location that makes this a worthwhile consideration over other hotel options when coming to Denver. I would absolutely consider staying here again for personal travel if coming to Denver again. Stay fun, Curtiss- I just might be back again!

Great and Friendly staff, fantastic lobby bar/restaurant with great food. Each floor has a different theme, I was on the LOL floor but I heard the scart floor was the best. The hotel is in walking distance to some great bars, restaurants and attractions. Perfect for a quick business trip and I woud absolutely stay here again.

The hotel was good enough. I was not paying so I stayed there. I was surprised that (or at least so I was told at the front desk) the rooms with the adjoining doors between them were all single king bed rooms. The hotel does all sorts of things to be cute and most of the elevators talk to you, saying cute things, but often I could not quite catch what it was saying. As with many newer hotels, they save money by not putting in bath tubs. I have stayed in the past at some rather low scale hotels that were the same price as the daily parking rate at this place!
